All he can do is exactly what you can do. If a thread crosses the line and breaks forum policies, use the report feature to report the post and user to one of the mods.

The other thing you can do is try to be a voice of reason on any of the threads that pop up that get too emotional. THe problem is that if someone jumps in with a nerf thread a lot of people will react emotionally and start attacking the individual posting the issues, instead of getting them to understand where they are incorrect in what they think they are seeing with our profession. Of course the fact that they come here with emotional posts about getting CMs nerfed just shows a severe lack of judgement on their part to begin with. What do those folks expect, a party thrown in their honor for bringing it up?

It's one thing to suggest that balance may be out of tilt with some set of skills, to offer the reasons why this might be the case, and to suggest alternatives. Those kinds of posts, IMHO, deserve resasoned responses and taken as a challenge to have an enjoyable and forthright debate. (Debate implying staying away from emotional arguments and sticking to the facts and reasoned opinion.)

But it's not like any of the Correspondents can do anything about the threads that really are just trolls. It's netiher our job, nor do we even have the abilities, to do anything about it. Only the Mods and Devs can do anything about that, and it's up to all of us to simply report improper posts and threads to get them locked, but that's the best we can do, really.

Or 1 star them? Then filter out 1 stars? Maybe that will work.

How can we discuss CM issues when we're overwhelmed here by noobs screaming for nerfs! I know it's not your fault Pahdy, just wanted to get your attention with the title, but this is insane. Its hard to find usefull information on this forum because every new player to pvp in the game is here calling for nerfs or trolling.

I just browsed EVERY other proff board and they are nothing like this. Please say something to whoever is in charge, this is insane. I want to help the new or apsiring combat medics in the game but I can't here because this has turned into a nerf board.

If I have to post on every other proff's board I will. Could you please post in the whatever forum for the other profession reps to ask their people to please stop posting shat here. It's too hard to learn anything about CM here with all the nerf posts...

I understand, I just thought our correspondant could say something to the devs in the correspondant forum about this. Its getting way out of hand, I went through every other forum and they are nothing like this. I even found NERF CM's in other forums for god's sakes.

Something has to be done, this forum is a wreck, it's nothing like any of the other forums. We seem to need a mod to come in here everyday and delete all the troll threads...

We get a number of one-star trollers, and trollers in general, Its practically a fact of life on the CM boards.

Despite the fact that CM is one of the least popular combat/healing classes we still get a number of players come in here trying to swing the nerf bat and unfortunately they outnumber real CMs by a wide margin.

But Zarlor got the gist of it, there's not much that the correspondents can do, even when we get the same thread posted again about the same tropic that some other troller has posted for the past three weeks.

Try just ignoring the threads you can that are obvious trolls.

No, I'm sorry but I can't. The best that can be done is contacting CSRs for the really bad threads. If it makes you feel any better, I won't sticky the threads.

I can sticky or unsticky threads.

I can edit my own posts, but not anybody else's.

Otherwise people who have an account are free to post where they want, when they want, within the guidelines set by SOE. If somebody breaks those guidelines, report the thread using the thread options tab.

I know that sometimes it is hard, but you just have to ignore some idiots who post...even if they are totally in the wrong or misinformed.

I'm thinking we need to line up a CM Execution squad that will hunt down the trollers on their home server and give them their due justice :-D
