Thread: New MCM...with questions...
Ok, I decided to finaly do something with a Master Dancer I had sitting on Kauri. Got a wild hair and decided to go MCM/Carbineer
I spent the last week grinding CM, made master yesterday. No, this isnt a Holo character, I just wanted to be as effective as possible for my guilds (all 5 of us) group hunts (we have a Master Doctor, but no real "combat" healer, hence the CM).
Now then...a couple questions.
Area Stims....what considered good? I currently make 43/743 Area Cs (Master Doc supplied Adv Comps)
I know there are looted components out there, but not what or where. I know of Rancor Bile, killed a bunch of them last night, looted all....got nothing, is there a specific variety of Rancor? Are there other items to watch for? I tried the FAQ, but there is no mention of these items.
Finally, am I mistaken, or is Combat XP based on Poison/Disease applied (I was getting Combat XP hand over fist last night vs Rancors/Nightsisters)?
Thanks in advance for any replies

Thats pretty good, mine were usually in the 800's, but I probably had better stuff

Rancor Bile is used in Poisons, but is not that usefull. It only increases the number of charges. For stimpacks you can get some Janta blood (Dantooine) which will replace the Bio Effect Controller.

Dont understand this question.

Agent,
Thank you for the reply...especially on the looted components, I went hunting for the bile last night mostly out of curiosity (have to try it atleast once to see... ![]()
As for the combat XP question. I was dropping poison/disease on everything we fought, and getting more combat XP per kill (a lot more) than anyone in my group. On the order of 4-5k of combat XP per kill, where as the pure combat classes were getting 300-400 each. I can only assume that it was the damage due to poison/disease that made the difference, but I have never heard of that before. If true, its great for me to get up the Carbine line that requires that type of XP (usually the hardest to get).
More important, in my eyes, is actually getting our share of the Faction Point rewards when fighting factional NPCs. Now when using AE Poisons you can get lots of FP, where before I was getting next to none.
As for Area Stims. Keep in mind that even a buffed person is going to have only roughly 3k ham (give or take, depending on heal variance). With Heal Variance you can see anywhere from the base of the stimpack (At the very low range) to twice the base (At the very high range) if you are a Combat Medic, which averages out to about 1.5k a pop for a 700-800 AE stim. healing everyone in a 30m radius for 1.5k is pretty good. And if you're group isn't even buff then its a moot point anyways. So the short answer would be yes, that's good, its possible to get more but isn't really needed.
