The best place I've found for finding those CAs and AAs is by doing BH missions. But I don't farm loot as a general rule, so if there are better places to get them maybe someone else can help you there.
For grinding up the CM trees, I would suggest getting the healing line first, 4000 in other words, and using Bacta Spray, which you get at medic 0400 to get the healing exp. I found this to be the most efficient method for grinding out CM. And then grab the paralyze line (0003) , see below for the reason for this.
Of course, as you are already a Doc I would suggest using the Doc heals you have already to build up your healing exp to the cap and then train all the CM boxes you can at first, this should speed you up considerably over grinding it from square one.
Also, CM is a helpful profession in its own right. We can't buff players like a Doc can, but we still have good healing abilities, and Bacta Toss and Bacta Spray can be a godsend to a hunting group. And our DoTs can help with those tougher Mobs.
As well as pulling those pesky swarming Pikets using neurotoxin one at a time, can be pretty useful too to a group.
The best advice I can give you to being an efficient CM is to get enhancers for your Bacta Toss, Deuterium Fire, Neurotoxin, and Traumatize. Those will enhance the strength of those abilities when you get them.
And don't forget about paralyze when you're grinding...if you get jumped by several aggro creatures at once, and you will, I find it best to paralyze the ones that aren't being actively attacked by the group, and then just heal myself until they either switch aggro or are dead, if I'm using my abilities in the group for purely healing purposes.
Sorry for the long post, but I've always loved being a CM

The only surefire way to get the specific CA/AAs you want are to bid on them on the trade forums. The nice thing about hunting for attachments though, is that you can auction off the ones you won't use to finance bids on the ones you want.
My favorite hunting has been running Aakuan Champion missions from a player city on Talus. Hitting npcs of level 80-ish means the max mod on an attachment will be around +7. That means 4 tapes to hit max, but it's an easy means of getting tapes. Have you gotten tapes from npc BH marks? I think boss marks can drop better attachments.
Use enhancements when you can afford them. It can be frustrating if it takes 4 tosses to get a burn to stick, but seeing a bigger DoT is a thing of beauty.
Get a good feel for the range of the attacks/debuffs. As a pistoleer, I'm used to staying relatively close to my target. The 10m range of paralysis is pretty close for comfort though. It can be handy if you need a break to heal a bit though, and you get to watch another tick on the poison/fire.

+25 is as good as it gets. Your character info will list the higher number, but +25 is all that will count.
I'm not sure if the old CM effectiveness tapes do anything, but we have 3 skill mods now. Medical Warfare is for the DoTs, Healing Eff for toss & spray, and Bio-Suppression for the debuffs.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to gather +25 worth of tapes for each of these 3 skills. Or don't. You'll still be effective without the +25. CAs and AAs add up, but only to the +25 cap. Be sure to not put attachments with the same mod onto the same piece of clothing/armor. Only the highest will stick, and you can waste sockets as well as the attachments that way. So it's OK to spread around the attachments among the various pieces of clothing and armor. A +5 med warfare on your gloves will stack with a +4 med warfare on your marauder right bicep to give you +9. 7 pieces of armor, gloves, boots, belt, and bandolier give you plenty of sockets. Be sure to make that a BE-modded bandolier, I've seen up to +17 melee/ranged defense on them.

Alright, I have a question. Just looted the Nyax Necklace which has +5 to Chemical Warfare Efficiency, I don't see this in any of my character builders, is this a working mod or just more pre cu junk?

That's strange, my Nyax Necklace definately says +5 to Medical Warfare Efficiency.
Maybe new ones are still broken, but my one got converted fine, I have a couple of other working ones too.

Yes mate, get yourself +25 in SEAs (or +20 with the Necklace)to get to 125 Medical Warfare Efficiency and you will see a much better stick rate on DoTs.
