Thread: MAster CM/Master Rifles, good combo for PvP and PvE??

Like the subject says, I'm currently master cm/master doc, but I don't really like having no other fighting skills.
Do you think this combo would do well in both combat aspects?

or you could do tkm or swordsman + 4004 cm, seems to be pretty popular nowdays

I've been a Master Rifle/CM before...and I can tell you...I've never been that powerful since.
In PvP you're an absolute demi-god(I say demi because you'll be dead too quick to be a full one 
)...
)...In PvE the combination of HS3 Speedcapped and having 3 6k Ticks of disease on a 1.5 Million HAM mob is really rather nice

Yeah, no matter what I don't want to drop CM, I love it.
The reason I was thinking about rifleman, is because I have never done it. I've gone the pistoleer and Carbineer route on my other toon, just want something different.
Also, I've never hunted the big game like Krayts or Elders and I would like to start doing those sorts of things.

Rifleman owns Carb and Pistol in every way (I've done all 3).
You're going to be amazed how easy it is to kite kill an elder with a speedcapped T21 and +50 Terrain Negotiation.

I am a god
All you need is a decent damage sliced t-21 and some no-stun/high eff armor for PvE. I solo acklay and can tank krayts.
Silly defenses
PvP, its so amazing to see the reaction from a player who gets his precious defenses blown away from a 1k tick mind poison

I am a master CM and working on rifles, and so far i love, got headshot3 and a mean jawa and you can hang back poisen and headshot all day. spent 20mins in theed the other day in a pvp battle unbuffed and unarmored and never died hehe. I like it better than my melee stack. I proably wont switch to anything for a long time.

Master Rifle/CM 4004/Doc 4030...Imo best pvp template by now(fighting non-jedi)....

rifle is just rediculous in pve imho. I mean what other profession can you dabble one box into (to get "conceal shot") and suddenly you're able to kill almost anything in the wild without even getting touched? Rifleman is unmatched right now in pve (at least among the ranged professions), but it'll inevitably be the hardest hit when it comes time for the combat balance.
I guess there is a certain pleasing symmetry in terms of "game balance justice" about pairing CM with rifle, lol.

Speeder is more effective IMO.
You can lose the agro this way, with Feign death the Dark Jedi Sentinel could be 500m away and still regain agro when you stand up.

The above is so true. I was Master Rifle MCM for quite some time. But I always came a cropper with poisons or dizzy etc, so splitting the CM with Doc was the best move I have done in the game. I can even take on, and beat Melee profs. My PvP has risen far higher than when I was master rifle MCM. The only problem with this temp, is Jedi, but they are a problem to most people, unless you have a glowstick.
