Thread: Bacta Spray = Area Taunt ?

When you use Bacta spray in a group you heal for so much total DMG that every mob in the vicinity says "Theres the medic. Lets get him". Using this skill is like commiting suicide.
Do you guys think is as intended, or will the reduce the amount of agression you get from healing multiple players?

I noticed this too. It's not nice to be aggroed by every SBD in a room.
Until they fix (or not fix) this, get the melees in your group to taunt 'em.

I think Im going to drop CM and go MD/TKM with medic 4-4-4-0
That way when I use Bacta spray it will actually help as I will also be the Tank.

Hah! That is so cool to see stuff like this in game, makes AI a lot more fun.

No its actually just unbalanced right now. All medical use gains a HUGE amount of agro instead of building up bit by bit. Medical healing tends to beat even a master TK's advanced taunt.
Additionally since heals are so low powered many heals are needed in higher level content and cause even more agro.

its the new hate system put on NPS's they wil attack u even if u do bacta toss, it is ment to be this way
lets just say they made the NPC's stronger, so i would recomend that u dont just go up in medic skill, u also need to get up in a tanking skill also so u can survive better

Hit the DWB again today. Even when I told the healers not to use Spray they still got targeted when they sarted doing alot of healing. The only healer who didn't die was a MTK MD.
Man when you have CoB and Infusion you can tank forever.
I still think this needs to be reduced a bit. Nothing worse than getting to the bottom of a base and having all your healers (rezzers) killed.

It's not quite suicide, I've used bacta spray and lived more often than I've used bacta spray and died. I can't tell you how many times I've used bacta spray, then kept agro on myself by continually healing myself until the rest of my group killed the creatures though. Hopefully they'll tone down the aggression a bit, but until then, I'm getting feign death just in case.

yeah we had a guy do this in the DWB, there was no way i could keep him healed.

I have respeced my pistoleer skills to smuggler only to be able to /feigndeath after every areaheal

With this "heal-aggro" I finally reached a point where I see somebody next to me getting his ass whoped and think thoughts like: "hmmm, should I really heal that guy now, cause there are 5 or 6 other enemys around that will kill me if I do".
I made my character as a real group supporter, and I really try to work as that, but this heal-aggro thingy is crap. It can't be that a healer, one of the weakest fighters of a group, gets all the aggro cause he uses his professions ablilitys. That must be changed! To say ya need to be TKM to be able to tank the aggro ya get from healing might be correct, cause ya CAN tank, but it's not right that they force a medic into a tanking fight profession! Lower the aggro, or made the healer himself a tank!

This keeps happening to me also. At first I must admit I thougt it was the flash blindness from the particle effects causing me not to notice the damage I was taking. then I noticed that it happened everytime the aggro just switches to the healer. This is something that needs to be fixed.
