Thread: Does death break a DOT?

The other day my MD/MCM was involved in a fight with a level 161 novatrooper. He went in to apply some DOTs and landed five different states on the novatrooper before he was swiftly dispatched with a 5232 point hit that sent him to the cloning center. So much for the defensive uberness of battle armor.

The thing is, while laying around a bit on the battlefield, checking the combat spam, the DOTs that HAD been successfully landed on the novatrooper (to include a deuterium DOT) seemed to just vanish from the particle stream around the novatrooper.

Does death terminate a DOT on a target? Has anyone else played with this some more to confirm this observation? If this is an accurate assessment, is it intentional, or a bug, that the DOT goes away when the player applying it dies?

To be great, one must acquire the trick of ignoring those who do not like you.
In my experience those who do not like you will fall into two categories, the stupid and the envious.
The stupid will like you in 5 years time. The envious never. My name is...
