is this what they want us to do with cm?
i was just looking at a game guide, and we get a pistol at master cm......
alliance disruptor sounds sweet, except for the fact that i am an imperial

I'm not really sure about the alliance disruptor, but I've always thought that pistoleer was a natural complement to CM/Doc due to the crowd control. Its always nice to be able to also weaken/stop the monsters while you're trying to heal your tank (except for the fact that you'll then become the tank.. especially with a good krayt'd pistol)

Well the pistol is only a so-so weapon anyways. I only used it when I was trying not to pull aggro for both my heals and doing the max damage!![]()
Pistols is a good compliment to CM and I think the devs thought so too. In practice, almost all combat professions work out well when combined with CM skills.
Also, as an Imperial don't think of it as the Alliance's disruptor, instead think of it as a gun purposely made for disrupting the Alliance!![]()

the alliance disruptor is a perfectly average energy pistol, and takes more components and resources than an XT. Aside from the pistol, there is no more prodding to do pistoleer.
This was clearly their origonal intent- CU "alpha" had the pistols line of marksman as a requirement- and our throw range is 35m, same as pistol range.
But when it comes down to how it actually is, CM is viable with most professions. I think the most popular combination is combining it with bounty hunter.
Lastly, pistoleer/cm pwns, it allows you to debuff a single target like no other profession. All the combination lacks is a really good damage dealing special- I picked up the BH carbines line for critical shot, but something from carbineer or rifleman would work.

Dont worrie about pistols not being powerful, i just bought a Alliance disrupter with a base dps of 351 and with the speed you can get out of it you can deal just as much damage as a rifle. I like to use body shot, then quick draw, then back to bodyshot for awsome speed to get as much damage out as fast as possible. And the specails you can get with pistols are great too, stopping shot, intimidate, warning shot, and even a knockdown, i think it is an awsome combo!

from what ive seen pistols are weak, compared to carbines and rifles with pretty much not that much difference of a speed.....Cant i just use a deagle? lol
