Hello, Im new to the C.U combat medic. I was wondering if any of you master cms had any good combat macros you could post up for us to use.
on a side note just so you know its preference but I dont like using macros for combat cuase it can sometimes limit your responce times to things that may change in battle, those weird random things that happen lol gotta love em

Yup, combo macros are bad, I only use macros so I can bind specials to my keyboard.

Macros slow down attack time? I didnt know that..Anyways I should bind attacks to keys? Do you just go under key map and do it that way? sorry if this is noobie talk lol

It's all in the guide.
What we mean is we dont think that macros that queue up a combo of moves are very good as you have to change what you are doing a lot in combat, so its best to be able to queue one attack after the other.

Here is a tip...I am a MCM and wanted to bind healings to keys...
First macro I made was something like this...
/tar Mis
/pause 1
/bactashot
Well while in combat what a pain...I kept targeting myself (Misfit)then I would have to target the mob again.
new macro is this
/bactashot self
this heals me while keeping my mob targeted.

As far as using macros during combat, I would highly recommend against this. Things tend to change very quickly mid-combat and you don't want to get stuck in a macro. Although you can bind a /dump macro to a hotkey so you can sidestep that problem.
However, there are some invaluable one-command CM macros, especially given the targeting bugs of late.
/bacta{shot/jab/infus} self
Either stick in toolbar or bind to a keyboard key in Options/Keymap.
One I haven't tried yet but wouldn't mind some input on is to make it easier to target group members and heal them and switch back to your previous target. Yes i know...ctrl+2-8...but what about:
/ui action targetGroup0 (or 1,2,3,etc)
/bacta{shot/jab/infus}
/ui action cycleTargetPrev
Then binding each to, for the sake of argument, 1-8 on keyboard (the regular 1-8 keys) so all you would have to do, provided you were in range, is hit a number key to heal that group member? Naturally this would be dependent on using the correct chat style (can't remember if modal is press enter first or if it's the other way around).
Has anyone tried this with any luck?
