Is anyone having any luck crafting with using crates? IE using crated materials and placing them in you scematic and placing into input hopper. Everytime I do this i get an email saying finished with 0 completed. I can though take each piece out of a crate and place them in the hopper individually but its a real pain and can only make like 25 stim pac d at a time. info. I am using a probot with a food/chemical crafting stn. installed. any feedback really appreciated in advance

I got this bug today as well. I had no problems until last night before the server went down. I got an email saying my factory made 76 Stim b's and when i tried to restart I get the 0 items made email. I emptied both hoppers and loaded a new schematic for a different item not using crates and now everything works fine.

I have also had this problem with my factory, only one time did I have a successful run where the factory would pull the components out of the crate. So earlier today I had the joy of removing 75 items from the crates and dragging them to the ingredient hopper. Boy that was a hoot, I have sent in a ticket on this, and I advise everyother factory owner to do the same. Like the art of crafting isn't tedious enough.

while on the topic of med supplies and factories, how do you get your factories to function? Every time I attempt to poerate my factory is indicates that I need aspime, ount, and garhopatho.. Are the resources that can me harvested? or some type of component that must be crafted? Arg....

It's really a shame that we even need factories in the first place. Maybe we'll get lucky and a patch will say "all factory made items required for crafting medicines has been replaces with either an advanced component or a regular component"

I think I'd fall over my chair and get drunk for joy.

Osor,

The ingredients are missing the first letter of each word, does it on my factory too. Whatever resources you used to make your schematic are the exact same ones required to be put into the factory hopper.

You should see something like this listed:

lovive 12

paegoeic 12

count 100

the first 2 items are the names of the resources required by the schematic and the number of items required to make 1 new item.

count means how many items the schematic will process. if it says 100 that means you are going to make 100 final products.

so basically you need 12 lovive x 100 = 1200 lovive and 12 paegoeic x 100 = 1200 paegoeic and you will get 100 finisnhed products.

i know the names are mispelled but im not in game looking at my resources atm =)

The count is how many can be made with that schematic before it goes poof. You can have just enought resources to make 2 and the next time finish up the next 98. You set this when you create the schematic and while the slider only goes to 100 you can manually enter upto 10,000.

Just set 10000 for everything, place as many resources as you can and go do something else.

Ok, the trick as it was explained to me is as follows:

-- Put in your schematic

-- Load all items into your input hopper in the order listed in the schematic. NOTE: You must have more than one crate of each component (ie: 2 biological controller crates, etc.)

-- Start & cross your fingers.

This worked for me the other night. However, once I stopped the factory to see how far I had gotten a couple of hours later, I wasn't able to get it to work again with factory crates. I'm going to give this a try again tonight, though, and see if it works.
