Combat Medic Archive
Thread: Will this be too inefficient?
Let me start by saying that I enjoy combat, but I also enjoy spending time socializing in the medical centers and cantinas, and this seems to be a character that will be useful in both locations. I am also expecting that the Doctor requirements for combat medicines will be changed so that the Combat Medic can stand on his own. I also have access to a medical droid (crafting station and medical module installed, will upgrade it when it becomes necessary for making meds).
I don't find surveying for resources very fun, but do have a mini farm of two wind generators, a flora farm, a mining extractor, a chemical extractor, and (soon) a natural gas extractor set up near my sister's house and don't plan on moving them around much. I only use them to gather resources for my own use, and if I find there are no high quality resources for one resource cycle in their area I should have enough saved up until the resources shift again... if I get a particularly bad dry spell I can either buy resources or pay a Surveyor to find me a better location.
So, with all that in mind, I am thinking of going
Marksman: Pistol IV, Ranged Weapon Support IV
Medic: Master
Scout: Exploring III, Hunting III
Combat Medic: Master
Pistoleer: Marksman IV, Special Abilities IV
My sister, by the way, is doing
Artisan: Novice (for basic surveying andtesting samples for resource quality)
Entertainer: Dancer IV, Entertainment Healing IV
Marksman: Pistol III
Scout: Exploring IV and Hunting IV
Creature Handler: Not sure just which lines or how far in each line yet
Dancer: Master
Which seems to create a nice complement of skills to go together. For hunting we'd specialize in hunting creatures, but should be able to handle blaster using opponents as well in most cases, using her pets and, if necessary, a combat droid to tank for us if no groups offered themselves.
Can any experienced players find any glaring holes in this template, keeping in mind my expectations of what the devs will likely do to fix the CM profession?
