Combat Medic Archive

I'm a Master Medic and was wanting Combat Medic. Then I heard about Docs having the res skill. Now I'm not sure if I should pursue the Combat Medic, besides the ranged heal (which if your group has combat disclipine does that realllllly matter?), what can a Combat Medic do better than a Doc? Any assistance or advice on this would be GREATLY appreciated. By the way, I'm currently on Tatooine in Mos Espa(Chilastra server) doing missions for creds and going to Mos Entha for Combat exp. I've only left the planet three times for short trips, once to Naboo to pick up aProbot with Med Module from Castorius (an excellent Master DE), another time to Naboo to have my wpn sliced, and once to Correllia for my Chitin Armor. I'm still havin a great time, and can't wait toexplore some of the other planets!! OHHHHH and another thing I've maxed out my pistol tree in marksman, are any other healers going the pistoleer route? I'm trying to balance out my healing capablity with the ability to protect myself. I dont feel the need to obtain Master in any field (except for medic of course), I'm just trying to build the character I can go huntingand exploring with my friends. =)

Ranged is alot more handier than you think, i havent used poisons too much but i plan to give them a try

You can be a master doctor and a master combat medic and still have enough points for one weapon specialist (pistol specialist but of course not pistoleer). You'll have to buy your resources from the bazaar or have friends willing to feed you the exotic materials you need or have a second artisan character on the same server but it's possible and doable, and moreso as the bazaars mature and the price of raw materials fall due to a free market.

I don't see the price of most of the resources needed by master doctors/combat medics getting much lower in price than 5 to 1. If you consider the seller needs to recoup costs for maintenance on the harvester, and their source of power, and travel if they sell on different planets, it gets expensive quick.

Thanks for the info guys!! I don't know If I'll Doc or Combat Medic But I will def be going down both trees to start. BUT I realllllly want to have that pistoleer also, so i may have to give up other things. The only master I plan on having is the one I have now......Master Medic. Good Luck and Good Hunting....

If you loved medic go doctor, thats what doctor is, an expansion of the medic class.

Combat medic is a COMPLETE new class, where NONE of your medic skills apply.

hmmm I guess I charge not enough for my resources. What I usually do is keep 1k of my resource and sell the rest on the bazaar 3 to 1. My dantoonie berries sell extremely quickly as does aluminum and steel. Yesterday I had put 60k worth of stuff on the bazaar and most was sold within 2 hours. I didn't spend nearly that much to maintain my harvestors and wind power.
