I'm a 4424 CM and ask my towns doc if i could register at her hospital she said sure but I CAN'T do it the stupid terminal say i'm not qualified. WHY NOT. I think CM's have just as much right to register on the planet map as docs do.

It's a Doc only ability

Basically, the purpose of hospitals is for wound treatment and buffing. Since both those abilities fall squarely within the province of the Doctor Profession, it is there that the ability to register with the planetary map should reside.

Combat Medics, from novice to Mastery, do not become more skilled in wound healing then a Master Medic and do not at all have the ability to enhance. Therefor, they do not get the ability to register with the planetary map.

BTW a master CM CAN place a hosptial just like a master doc can. SOI SHOULD be able to resgiter. Can docs cure a party of 20 people at once? NO but I CAN. Can a doc cure someone from 30m away? NO I CAN.CM's are just as much healers as docs. Its just that everyone seems to be odsessed with the area attacks we can do.

I always understood it that we just expertise in the Healing area while they're expertising in the wound and general curing area, so at least I think that the registering should stay within the doc hands

There's definitely a point to be made with the CM ability to place hopsitals here.

Maybe /register should be a Master Medic ability? I don't see what it would hurt to allow the ability in CM, if you ask me.

Can a CM cure poisons or diseases? No. Can a CM heal 300 wounds in one shot? No. Can CMs enhance HAM? No. Can CM revive? No.

Are both professions healers? Of course.

But there is a difference. CMs are the expert DAMAGE Healers, whereas the Doctors are the expert Wound Healers.Damage can be healed anywhere, wounds only within certain structures(Namely the Hospital) or with a specially fitted droid.

When you seek wound healing, would you prefer someone whose profession provides bonuses and skills mods for wound healing? Or someone whose profession provides range and area skill mods and bonuses?

It is that difference, I believe, that is the reasoning behind the ability being Doc only.

Should the change? Who knows... I have no qualms with placing that at Master Medic.

When i seek healing I seek whoever has a wound pack nearby. This isnt some nerf to doctors, if I can place my own hospital why cant I let people know im in it as well? I'm sorry but I rarely see docs using anything but wound pack B's. Hey guess what, I can use them as well. We're not saying give us the ability to buff or cure poison/disease, we're simply saying let us let people know we are in our own hospitals.
