well i saw this posted on another post but it was not really the point of the thread so i figured i would give my 2 cents here.

YES , i belive they are griefing tools depending on how you use them, when a player attacks me i well use disease health on them and kill them. now i DB them right away so the wounds dont stack up. now if they decide to taunt me , bad mouth me , call me names. you know anything like that i most of the time well make a point of finding that person again and making sure every last one of their stats is at 1. yes i know that is being an ass but there is no need for name calling.

so i supose it all on how you use them weather or not they are griefing tools, and i supose how you use them is all dependant on the maturity level of the player. now i do only try to really wound someone if they are useing tactics that i feel is unfair ( using a safe house, firing from a house i cant go in, stuff like that) or if they are useing unpleasent words or phrases towards me, i supose i am doing to get some flames for that but oh well .

what do you guys think?

Hrmmmm....Ok, just so i understand.....Before i Comment....

Diseases Cause wounds and wounds are Greifing? You fully Grief them if they talk trash about you greifing them? and You only Partialy Greif them if they are cool, and do them the favor of a Death blow before the Wounds "stack up"......did i understand right?

Diseases should be used in pitched PvP battles where you dont want to see that person(s) return to the fight quickly. What good is a raid or conquering if people just keep recloning? The only way to keep them out of the fight is to basically destroy their ability to fight. This to me translates to diseasing their Mind and Health so that they dont want to come back and get one shot killed by a CDEF pistol user. How else do you hold a town or city if the defense is just insta-spawned with no penalties?

It's the people that incap someone and then throw all diseases on them to see them rot that give us a bad name...but I would do that too if someone was being a jerk and just needed to be shut up. I am probably the most considerate PvP'r (ie. actually waiting for a person to stop browsing the Bazaar before engaging them), but as a CM I have the tools to not take any crap from someone.

I agree, although I do not useually engage in PvP. If someone kills me in the med center while I am healing people then you can bet your ass he will get every disease in the book.

I don't feel disease is a griefing tool. Here is what happened to me today:

I was entering Moenia and saw that a well-known Imperial guild was making a raid. So, being a Rebel, I run in to see what I can do. Upon my second encounter, my first attempt to poison failed, I was instantly incapacitated. Before I was death blowed one of their members applied mind disease to me. Upon being cloned mind disease took full effect. I rush to the only doctor in town to get healed. He tells me to go to the cantina asthey are the ones that deal in mind damage. (A little note here: If you are a master of your class and no nothing about the skills you have, you need to take some 'me time' and explore the inner you) So after he declined to heal me I ran to the cantina and made it just as my 1100 Mind pool hit rock bottom. I spent the next ten minutes listening and watching everyone until it disippated.

Was I pissed? Nah, I can't blame them for doing something I would do myself. The Combat Medic did his job and took me out of combat all together. No continued suicide runs for me. I just wish my poisons and diseased worked on the first try like that.

So if you are a CM and apply disease and give people wounds it's griefing. But a BH or Commando burns the crap out of you, butthats not?

Lets see. BH and Commandos burn you no one can heal this, it just goes and goes. CM diesase which takes a Master CM to get it to hit and stay. But itcan be healed.

I am lost, some on enlighten on the difference. They are not used for griefing, they are used to make the other person have down time to take them out of the fight. Thats the way I see it anyway.

This game will get better, you just have to lower your standards =)

Its not as much as a grieving tool when BH and commando's burn...

the burn does more damage than wounds...

disease does nothing but wounds

Disease stops people from coming back and continually attackign people by putting them in the hospital instead. Sure it can be used as a grief tool, but so can not DBing someone for 3 incaps which any profession can do.

I don't see how diseasing people with a skill that is integral to combat medicine as griefing.. in fact if it's used on people like H'bsr it's called justice.

I still haven't seen that guy really grief anyone. Closest thing I saw was he squished a TEF'd person's crafting droid...but I would do that too. I hate mouse droids.
