Thread: Auto ticking poisons, do you know how to counter it?

I dont know if everyone else experiences this, but on my server we have a little problem. That problem is that if you have enough doc to cure your poison its generally pointless to cure it anyway. I cure 90% of the poisons that land on me within 2 seconds of getting poisoned, however when I get repoisoned I will automatically tic from the poison.

Here is what is happening. Cm applies poison to me, 2 seconds pass, I cure poison, 5 sec pass, cm applies poison to me, 1 sec passes I tic from the poison, I cure poison. rinse/repeat.

Is this a known issue? Is there anything being done to stop this? Whats the point in me having doc at all if Im going to tic from the poison anyway?

And dont start that whining crap. Im 4004 cm myself, and I see the same thing happening to others who can heal. I think/hope that there is something being done to fix this, Im sure the correspondent and devs already know about this. Right?

And this is not limited to cm applied poisons it also happens with dot weapons. Pointless to heal a poison if you cant kill the CM before he reapplies it and autoticks you.

Here is what I was told by a guildy. The game registers that mind poison with serial number xx1258jy landed on playerx, and initiates the timer to poison tic. When that timer says tic it checks to see if poison xx1258jy is on the target, and if it is it tics no matter how long it has been there.

Not sure if that is 100% correct or not, but this is definitely happening.

So its known, devs know about it, and correspondent has told the devs about it? Or it like the scatter shiak bug and players know about it, and no one expects it to be fixed for another year?

That pretty much sums it up. In my mind, this should be the #1 GCW fix right now.

Well once you think about it, CMs deal with more flames then any other class.
