Thread: Want to Master CM but I can't be CM and TKM... How stupid...

I want to Master Combat Medic when I get there but apparently I don't have enough SP to make it.

Why is that stupid support section of Marksman required anyways? Its so useless. The only thing it allows me to do is tumble for medics.

Hi,

I had the same problem. But it is OK. Using guns aren't all that bad.

Also, the task of combat medic is to support other players; not to be in the front line. Besides, if you want to go face to face, CM isn't really good profession anyway. You will end up running and waiting for poison/disease ticks. (Which gives me a perverted form of pleasure ...)

It's all about how you play under some limitations which makes this game quite interesting. (If we could have 32 masteries, this game wouldve been just a dumper even if profs are perfectly balanced and came out 1st day with space expansion.)

But you get warning shot and threaten shot! Woohoo

I have to agree. It's a lot of wasted SP IMO

Because, it doesn't make sence.

Primary role of TKM is to take damage.
It's a front line job.

Primary role of CM is to support combat at a distance, that's why they can throw poison/heal.
Primary role of ranged combat prof is to deal damage at a ranged distance...

Using a ranged profession just make sence, a melee doesn't.

Im going to have to agree agree. I wasa Master Rifleman and wanted to try melee out for a while. I liked TKM a lot,but once I began to PvP I liked it a lot less. I am in the process of mastering CM and was going to get Swordsman 0444 but I think I really will have to go back and pick up my rifle again. MR/MCM is is just too good a fit to pass up.

Yes Gavvot, but sometimes I like being up front.

Sometimes I like healing from afar. The point is really why they require such a useless tree on the marksman. It really is useless no matter what angle you try to argue from.

I know plenty of CMs that are also melee professions and have been very successful. In the useful threads thread above there is a link to suggestions for templates. Lots of good ideas on how you can make any melee profession work well with CM.

I suggest you take pistol then.
It's the close range ranged profession.

Or you can just pick TKA and not be master, you'll still be good, not the best, but very good.
