Thread: Where to begin...

Basically you havefour options as to where to heal wounds:

1) The med-center obviously. Attached to it is a healing capability (or whatever it is called) of 100 which affects how good your heals will be.

2) A scout/ranger camp. Better camps give bigger boosts. Overall in a standard camp you will heal for less than in a medcenter. I believe the first scout camps have a capability of 45 or 65. So you will heal worse there than in a med-center.

3) Near a medical droid you own. Depending on the medical capability rating of your droid (i.e. how much boost was built in - you can check that by looking at the droid in your datapad or examining the deed before you buy I believe) your heals can be better or worse than in a hospital (I think 110 is the best droid you can get). You can call a droid from your datapad while you are outside in cities, in camps and near your declared residence. However droids, while folowing you inside, generally seem to work only outside. So you would have to heal out front for example the cantina, not in it.

4) A player's home. Not sure how good or bad the boost is there.

As far as I know, the best boost available will be used, they don'T add up. So if you use a 110 medical droid in a 45 scout camp, you should get a bonus of 110 (however exactly that works. With heals being so random, it is hard to notice/determine the actual effect of the boost for me)

Hope that helps.

I know its prolly been asked many times, but I searched and couldnt find an answer. SOmone even suggested adding it tot eh FAQ, but its not there yet.

So, I busted my scaly butt and got TKA Novice. Now what?

I'm looking for some suggestions as to where to go along my path to master. I'm a smuggler, slicing and spice master already, but only starting on the dirty fighting tree, since pistol exp conflicts with Unarmed exp. I plan to pick up novice Pistoleer for Healthshot2 and teh DX certifications.

but what should I get for TKA? I was looking at the balance line first, fo the unarmed toughness, but it seems it only works against melee. but seeing as I dont PvP and mainly kill critters, that seems to fit me. However I also heard Meditation will help me stay alive to get the others.

So any suggestions? I plan to master both TKA and Smuggler, and right now have CH 1100 so i can get a GSP pet to tank till I get tougher.

I did most ogf my leveling solo on Yavin 4 fighting Giant Anglers and klikniks with the help of a Cowardly Gurrek and/or a probot. Got a huge boost to xp by going to Dathomir and running Giant Baz missions with some CH's. Greater Womp Rats also helped me out quite a bit.

Teras Kasi Novices are now much more powerful than i was when i was just a novice so you might have it a little easier than me.

A bunch of my friends are TKs and TK masters, and they all told me the same thing.

Get Power 1 first, for UnarmedDizzy 1. Then get Balance 1 for the KD. Then rocket up and get Power 4. After that, go get Mediatation 2 for the Power Boost. Next, finish up the Balanced tree, and finally finish up Meditation (and by the time you do all of that, you should have climbed all the way up the Precision Striking tree).

Hope this helps

Im currently 2-4-4-3 and have done all this on Yavin 4 hitting everything from crystal snakes to mawgaxes, with just a rock beetle(am also a Master Doctor). Hit tk novice on tuesday hoping to master by tomorrow night. The lairs on Yavin, well most of them, spawn an enormous amount of critters and are anywhere from 2k-4k xp and 200-400+ combat xp per kill, when grouped with a beetle anyways.
