I don't mean to be rude, but i find it quite odd that Combat Medics are all of a sudden being changed when we have been told "Combat Medics are working as intended." It just seems to me that we (the community) has been telling the development staff about our problems for a very long time with no interaction in to when we would be fixed.
Then all of a sudden, *My perception*, Jedi are threatened by us and it's a priority to fix Combat Medic.
It just seems to me that the developers are catering to a specific class and fixing everything around that class at that class's will. First it was their damage type (Fixed), then it was Defense (Fixed), drop rates (Fixed), Ranged Defense (Blocking Fixed), Self Rezing (Fixed), Nerf Other Classes to make us more godlike (In progress)
Maybe I should go claim im 4 0 0 0 LS and Master Smuggler and im broke.............
Just a rant, but things are just too much of coincidence of late...

erm maybe the yare FIXING alot of the flaws with the stuff you have stated because the combat programmers have finished their long stretch on programming the new jedi combat moves, and now they can concentrate on some of the easy fixs to old/existing combat moves....in prp for the CB. Maybe it has occured to u that its not jedi that are getting things nerfed, thats its the fact they now have some "free" time. Just be thankful that it was not CM or BH or another class that was balanced before jedi, and at this time they would be bitching about THAT class getting everyone nerfed???
Jedi were the first class to get combat balanced (some small numbers atm to balance us, but its all there, easy to reduce tweeks), and now they are starting to look at the other class', and decide what needs balancing and fixed BEFORE they start their major tests in the CB test sandbox. Fixs now will save time for fixs later, so it makes sense to get as much done BEFORE hand

Havla and CM range did need a fix, but making our range cap at 48m (around 40 if you want any kind of effectiveness) is over the top, in my opinion.
Maybe we canstart complaining that all the other professions have 64m range and that they should be nerfed?

im not 100% sure, but they havent stated about a 48 range cap have they? you still might be able to get 50-60m, which is not over bad for a medical class, even if you have combat skills. I used to be a CM back in sept-oct before it was FOTM (i hate that statement..bleh), and i used to use 50m ONLY poisons etc back then. I still did well in PvP, and no one seemed to have a problem with combat medics back then.....

Well TH said:
"Corrected a bug that allowed combat medics to throw at twice the range listed on poisons and diseases"
Meaning we won't be able to toss poison beyond the range in meters stated on the pack. Unless they are going to change the way we craft poison (which I doubt will happen).
And a lot has happened to CMs and PvP since september you know... =/

I honestly didn't think that was the bug. I though throwing for over 60 m was a bug but not throwing for twice the listed range. One tree is called Ranged Healing and gives bonuses to range. Throwing for twice the listed is not a bug, it is what comes with advancement. Each level of advancment should give a range bonus but I guess not anymore. Now the listed was obviously too high but from that statement I take it a novice CM will be able to throw somthing just as far as a master. I wonder if that tree will be renamed to effectiveness....

the wording is very poor we've no idea how they intend to fix this "bug" and seems to melike they're just trying to push through a quick fix to appease people (dare I say jedi)
They could be putting a hard cap on range or removing the range modifers, but in the end its just going to make Master CM wothless to get and better to dabble and buy your poisons.

No mystery here. You threaten their favorites and they are going to react.

Whatever the Dev's reasoning behind the fix...these are fixes we have needed for a while. I for one don't care if it's because Jedi cried, or if it was because George Lucas's cat meowed the word "Combat Medic" to him and he picked up the phone.
A fix is a fix.

Actually its a matter of scheduling that changes are made, not because anyone "complains" more than someone else. They were focused on the jedi patch for the last month and now they have extra time during this publish to fix some other bugs, why try to make something bad out of it?
Just like the bazaar got some fixes during the publish, does not mean it was because jedi complained.
