The coming nerfs are all because the Devs thought it would be fun to add spider venom to the game. Now they are testing the start of the nerfs, with proposals for future nerfs being considered.
All because of a single spider.
The combat medics who will get hit the hardest will be those that don't have a stockpile of spider venom.
Get rid of spider venom NOW...before this profession gets nerfed to the dust.

Something to consider IMO. I don't have a problem with the 90 or 129 power venoms....the problem is the 279 power crap that is still in circulation. Something twice as powerful as a crafted component in a limited use item shouldn't be a problem. Something that is 5-6 tiime the power of a crafted component is.

No, I'm actually less concerned about high ticking poisons than I am about the issues which are being fixed today.
Finally, I won't be hit by CMs from 100m who throw 5+ more poisons and diseaseswhile I close the gap to kill them.

Really 100m thats funny . I thought 96m was the max.
Spider venom isnt the issue. there isnt enough of it around. If a mcm is reduced in range by 50%, then ranged stims that have a range of 25 WHat good will they be ? How many times will a mcm get hit by a rifleman to get in range ? really if this is the case better start grinding. becaues combat medic will be the last prof anyone will want.

"Currently, some Combat Medics can create a very powerful Area Effect poison that is usable at a power and range far above any other combat attack in the game. The poisons are very hard to cure, it happens at up to 96 meters which is beyond the capability of all other professions and is having a bad impact on the game."
Thunderheart states that powerful poison at 96m is the reason to this nerf/fix. Powerful poison with 96m range must be made with spider venom, so, yes, spider venom is clearly the issue here.

It's not a bad idea at all ..... Don't think the devs will nerf CM's ... except maybe taking out the special loot enhancements ( like spider venom ) ....
- People who are sick of getting poisoned/ diseased should pick up some doc .... instead of trying for the uber template with defense stack
- Docs in the game need to carry the stuff they can cure would help
I am in favor of getting master docs area cure poison

While your at it,
Remove all exceptional and legendary loot and components from the game.
That way everyone will do squat for damage, Jedi will be Gods, and we'll all be happy...

There were nerf cries long before venom. CM has been **edit**ing up PVP for the longest time, and thankfuly the devs are doing something about it. Not even pre-venom CM was reasonable.

Loot a set of spider venom and mix it with some high-charge rancor bile and you've got something that'll last much longer and affect more people than any other looted weapon.
