Unfortunately healing pets does not give you xp, if you're soloing for medical xp, its imperative that you heal yourself at least once. Those pets however, if you're in a group or not, will eat the majority of your experience, as any weapon experience does. My suggestion is to get into a group, do not use your pets, just heal and poison.Theres really no tricks, just a good grind group and heal heal heal!

Best way to gain medical XP is to join a friendly (and powerful) hunting group and don't do any attacks at all yourself -- just heal your groupmates. Any time you attack something, you split the XP from the creature between all the skills you use against it -- weapons, pet attacks, and/or healing. I picked up a million points of Creature Handler XP in one night just by ordering my pet to attack alongside my groupmates, and did a similar thing going for Master Combat Medic. In a level-80 grinding group, you can figure on about 6500 or so points of XP per kill in whichever skill you're working.

I am MCM/MCH as well. I would suggest the same thing the above posters said, but add that you should get MCM first then MCH. Reason being is that as a CH you will be out taming and such and need some extra firepower and heals. This prof is really a lot of fun to play, but you have to understand every attack and defense you have since it will be the sum of those that give you victories, not just one or two specials. I find MCM to be the foundation of my template since it has the healing, so I would do that first and build up your CH second. You should seriously consider taming as many low level pets as you can too and keep the ones with abilities to learn. That way you will be doubling your efforts when you grind CH xp, getting XP for you as well as training points for your pets.

well it is up to you. Grinding MCM means nothing more than throwing a heal, not how much you heal for. So if you are going to powergrind it in groups just get whatever you want first. If you think you may be grinding for a while then you need to choose between better heals or better attacks. So you could go CM0004 for the paralyze, or CM4000 for the heals. Personally I would probably take heals since they will help you more in most situations. Definitely keep your CL high so you can earn the maximum XP and just heal heal heal. I have some points tied up in FS so I am MCM/MCH with the rest in BH for underhand shot. I used to have Marksman pistols 4 and it does give you better overall mods than novice BH, but having the KD is nice. I think I have lost about 150 or so damage from my attacks. I use the Alliance disruptor which is not a very good pistol, but I have it mostly for looks. Pets, CM attacks, and heals are my main weapons. I have considered going back to the marksman pistols for the better accuracy and speed once I can get the KD attacks trained on my pets and working well. Using KD level 1 seems to stick pretty well and makes having underhand pretty worthless. Although when i dont have my pets out I can underhand then paralyze and make a quick escape if need be. I find my temp to be heavily reliant upon my pets, so it is not the best for spontaneous confrontations.
