Thread: So what debuffs are good in PvP?

Been MCM for a couple weeks and read through some of the stickies and it sounds like paralyze and shock are all that is working. Am I missing some that are worth the mind cost?


I really want to give it a try so let me know.

thyroid rupture, traumatize are the only ones i use


shock IMO is worthless, and so is hemmorage depending on your enemy (against a melee character, hemmorage can be great)

Speed action and mind debuffs are all good

Kauk! er K9 =) Chetvvyn/Chetwyn Ulose here, finished my BH guy on Radiant (was BH/Carb 4000 CM..used the respec ta get BH/MCM 0400 Carb) and having hella fun =) killed at least 30 so far in the last 2 weeks (since I fully templated)...gotta love the hate tells =) in fact one (last night) was so bad he got some sorta banning (course I suppose I instigated things a bit..but oh well, he was "the crappiest Jedi I ever fought" heh



...Just wanted a break, re learn the game a bit....being Jedi changes things, for the good and the bad..

Every one of them are good, the important thing to do is recognize your enemies weakness and debuff that! Dont just run in and drop all of them on them...that can take quite a toll on your mind. In mass PvP I usually stick to thyroid rupture if you have ever been on the recieving end of this you know it can make quite a difference.


Hemorrage is a good one too, as most people will try and spam their best moves, after going through a few with hemorrage on them they are struggling to do anything and probly see alot of -TOO TIRED- floating over their heads.


Electrolite drain is esential if you are melee, this can make you dominant over ranged players as they simply cannot escape you, it lasts a long time and from I've heard it is the best snare in the game.


Traumatize is the best way to beat a doc.


BTW shock is great! it increases the duration on your debuffs and improves the chance of them sticking.


Paralyze I use really just as crowd control...up against 2 players I para one and fight the other...then para him and switch...so on....or use it one someone who is trying to escape..


Either way..study your profession...figure out what works best for you, I use them all from time to time, but I very rarely paralyze and stack all of them at once

Good as in worth the mind to apply them? I guess if I got to try it with foods Ill find out just how hard it is on mind in a PvP situation.
