Sure that still happens? Seems like nowadays if I target anything, even a chair, I dont auto target something else. Only seems to happen if I have nothing under target.
Could be wrong though.

no no, it's a bug. bacta toss enhancers...even when you do target yourself are bugged, and lock up your toolbar. the bug is a bit complicated but pretty much works the way you described it. your in battle and all of a sudden you need a heal so you quickly hit bacta toss and nothing....then you die....
it happens if you try to use it as someone is kding you...also it happens if you are button mashing during an intense part of a fight. ie if you hit critical hit then hit body shot to que it up, but then need a heal so you hit bacta toss to get the heal before the body shot. lock up happens and you can't heal.
best advice to get around it is to plan ahead in the fight, don't let your healing get to low and heal at less intense times with bact toss. bacta spray is less bugged so rely on that more and stims, but bacta toss is very useful you just need to practice a bit to avoid locking it up. i know it's a pain and really needs to be fixed. i had this same prob for weeks and weeks and no one would believe me lol.
