disclaimer: im not a jedi, not calling for a nerf, this is just a discussion.
Im a swordsman and pretty much all i do is pvp, ive been swordsman since launch actually and all ive ever really done is pvp. I have a feeling even though the description and devs say thyroid ruptureis a -40 speed debuff that it isnt, same goes with warcry.anyways i realized that this thyroid rupture hurts a LOT in pvp. not so much 1 on 1, as even when i was ruptured and elec drained i could still kill anyone i was fighting, or if they were extremely good at keeping me at bay id just hide behind terrain or a structure and either i would win eventually or it would be a stalemate, but in groups it really hurts because you cant react as fast when it comes to healing. youll see that people are laying on a lot of damage and youll hit heal, but it wont execute for 3 or 4 seconds because im thyroid ruptured.
so i realized i was gonna have to get some tapes to offset the speed debuff, no problem. a very very good friend hooked me up with +25 2 handed speed and like +23 gen melee speed. also im doc 4004 so im always adrenaline buffed (before and after i got these tapes). so i go out to test how my new speed was going to negate the thyroid rupture, and realize that it didnt do anything at all almost. with that +48 to speed in attachments on and thyroid ruptured, i should be hitting about the same speed as without the +48 and not thyroid ruptured, actually a tiny bit faster. i found this not to be true at all. i was still much slower with the new attachments and thryoid rupture on then i was before attachments and w/o thyroid rupture. btw i tested this with a few weeks of pvp, so i know my "experiments" werent borked.
so that caused me to come up withmy theory that i have in the title. what do you all think? do you think its -40 to speed or
-40% to speed? what have you all seen through testing?

Heres some good testing:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=combat_medic&message.id=58115
its supposedly -40 weapon speed, while the doctor buff is a cooldown % reduction.
As to what you've experienced, I would suspect that you were already very near a soft speed cap with your template, which caused the tapes to give a relatively low boost.

hmm but that makes no sence, since all actions take longer to execute with thyroid rupture on, meaning it would have to bea cooldown % increase. like in a battle ill hit a jedi with improved critical hit, realize im taking damage so hit improved bacta shot. wait. wait. (about 4 seconds after critical actually fired) bam heal. same for everything, every action.
either i was bugged or this infor is borked or something in between.

actually there are a lot of bugs atm regarding healing, expecially in pvp when you are mashing buttons. there is a toolbar lock up when you try to heal to quickly, and also a lock up when you try certain heals while being kd.. hope that helps...but i find similar things happening as a cm when trying to heal, there is a delay for some reason and i'm sure it's a bug or lag..... do you find this happens after button mashing or toolbar key correction?

it wasnt lag, trust me maybe once or twice outta the hundred times ive fought them but the problem isnt lag.
also i know know why it seems like it delays healing. its because of how the round timer for your combat moves is slowed. you cant do another action till that round time is up, so you cant heal either. but say if you havnt done a combat move for a few seconds and then you try to bacta shot/bacta jab the healing speed is normal.
im still convinced its -40% to attack speed btw. the person who said it was exact opposite of doc buffs... yea. when i dont have my (improved) adrenaline boost on i hit pretty fast. when i do have it on there is a fairly good difference. when i get thyroid ruptured it slows me down BAD. i dont have to explain all this again, its in my og post.

Wonder if you can apply adrenalineafter thyroid is applied so that the thyroid effect is based on your speed pre-adrenal therefore less of an effect. I don't have access to a CM with this skill so I can't check myself.
