Thread: Time to rethink sp requirments for cm?

I feel it is time to remove Ranged Support IV from cm requirments. I feel that wasting so much sp just to be able to use ranged heals is not worth it. Currently in pve most of our poisons/diseases are not effective and can not be used against droids (wich makes us mostly useless in dwb or corvette). Mind heals are to random and makes to much wounds to be useable more than 3-4 times.

We also get no state cures, poison/resists cures, and we need lots of components that we need docs to make for us as we only get a small ammount of medical experimentation.

And need I to go in depth on how common and cheap our resources are and that we got a very limited market to sell finished products on?


The removal of Ranged Support 4 from CM requirments is an easy way to show us some love before combat balance. I would also like to se us being able to use thoose area cures but I'm affraid that never gonna happen. But removal of Ranged Support 4 would help alot in the meantime.


Devs are probably gonna tweak the new stuff so it isn't 100% protection against CM, but I guess it still gonna be high enough to make our poisions/disease obsolete. I don't really mind that though since meeting another cm in pvp is not fun but some balance must be created so that we still can do our work.

I think the way to do this would be to require the tree for Docs now that they are a ranged profession.

doc is not ranged...it is a point blank AE...get it right

also...don't feel cm skill point should be changed.


cm = support role...about time that they are one!


and yeah my alt is a doc/cm master at both.

I guess now yall will actually do what you were meant to do - ranged AOE heals. Maybe you'll earn your title as Combat MEDICS, instead of being "Poison Chuckers".

Give CMs something to heal then that doesn't cause them wounds like that novice medic /tend crap

Whens the last time you've died in pvp due to health and action damage?


Interesting story. Earlier this week my guild went to war with another. Before the war I made 2 area stims. The war lasted for 3 days and nights and fighting was continous. In all that time I didnt use a single charge. No one died from health or action damage.

Do we need to spend as much sp as commando or bh just to be able to throw poisions? Currently docs are way better to have in combat than a COMBAT medic.

ya buit we have nothing in the support role, stims usless so whats the point, and mind heal detroy our mind pool.

I like that idea but I read somewhere they are adding ability to heal mind elsewhere.
