Thread: Why counter CM with Doc?

I have to say I am confused as to why Doctor is chosen to be the counter to CMs. It makes much more sense to me that combat medics should be given either ranged poison/disease cure or area poison/disease cure (the latter might be too powerful and mitigate poison/disease attacks too much so take it with a pinch of salt).


Stacking all these uber defenses onto players before a fight seems cheaper and cheaper every time the devs make a change like it. Surely pvp should be about a players skills in the fight rather than their ability to stand in a buff line before hand.


I admit CMs are way overpowered when there is 1k dots and stuff, but this is a very cheap way to nerf CMs which just imo makes doctor more and more desirable.


How about we stop giving doctors combat skills and start balancing combat medic properly?

To me, it wasn't that Docs countered CMs.. It was that 1 doctor can counter 30 CM's.

The dev's have never been accused of being very imaginative or ingenuitive. They had a MIND poison mitigation spice set to go live with the smuggler revamp. They could have made it a general poison spice and pushed it forward. Move love to smugglers (finally) and a mitigator useable by all classes at anytime that had a drawback over time.


Specials eat up HAM

Healing eats up MIND

Spices have downers

Armor eats up HAM substats

Chef foods take up stomach space

/healmind eats up MIND, gives wounds and battlefatigue


Doctor buffs and innoculations have no side effects nor drawbacks...**edit**?
