Is CM effective with just 4/0/0/4 or is it a complete waste without being a master? Yeah I know you all think its a waste anyhow with the recent changes so lets pretend this question comes before the change. Are the poisons effective at all without the master skill block?

Yes they are. I am doing very well right now working up the TKA skilltree with 4/4/0/4 CM. Because med experience is easy to get if you can toss poisons, I dropped the speed line and didn't see to much difference as I worked my way back up that line.

Of course, I have the luxury of having a guildmate that doesn't use his alt too much with master CM on it so I can still make my custom meds.

Being a master has its advantages since Area C's mostly require a high med level that u can't get unless master. However, by only have 4004, you can still use the best single target poison and disease and use B Area stuff. Works great for me.

I use some nicely crafted area Cs that give me a 330 area tick. My singles are venom enhanced 721s and that works great for me.... Just don't use it in Fort Tusken.. hehe. I poisoned 14 tuskens in one throw while only trying to poison 3. I kind of ruined the XP gain for a few others on that one toss. I don't normally poison in there but was grinding a new prof and was too weak to handle the three that spawned on me. Oh well, easy loot for whoever finished them off.

Shop around or talk to a crafting master, you can do fine as a 4004. I do.

thanks for the advice. It seems to me that giving up my doc and going CM 4/0/0/4 will be a very viable option. The thinking being that although I wont be able to heal those annoying states (primarily dizzy) I dont think I will have to do so as often since Ill be killing thema little quicker.

Thanks for all the constructive advice and since there has not been one reply that says I absolutely have to master CM for it to be any good I can now safely assume that 4/0/0/4 will suffice just fine.
