Thread: Sorry if this has been asked already... (mind and buff Q's)

I am debating whether to go CM or Doc.
I was wondering if CM's can heal their own mind and not just others, and if you can buff yourselves if you buy the packs. Thanks for any responses!
you cannot heal your own mind.
you can buff yourself.
open the skillsheet.. top left corner.. click 'all professions'.. start clicking on each box in the profession and read the description of all the skills that are available to each..
once you've done that you'll have a pretty good idea of what each does.. decide from there what you want to do with your skill.. you might even want to put skill in both.. or neither after reading up on what they can do..

Thanks for responding. I guess I would be better off going Combat Medic than Doctor, unless they have any advantages I don't know about? I know about CM poison and Doc cure disease and poison.
combat medic utility has been significantly reduced with patch 9.3. mind healing remains an important, though somewhat limited, skill. however, the effect of poisons and disease on the battlefield has been significantly reduced, some feel to the point where they have little effect at all. ranged/area heals and mind heals are the only truly viable combat skills remaining to the combat medic, and both of these have limited use at present.
doctors, on the other hand, got significant improvements to their combat effectiveness with patch 9.3. they can increase poison and disease resists, as well as area cure poison and disease. if you want to provide medical support in combat, doctor has the widest range and greatest potency of skills for the battlefield at the present time, in my opinion. plus you can buff for money, which is not a bad thing.
