LOL, but i cant harvest. no scout ability. so a solo mision on dath would doe me nothign but money. i have a alt Master AS/Tailor for that.
and don't think rancor missions are just for money, rancor lairs are among the most fun mobs in the game to fight. The bigger the better... and tap the lair first so they bring lots of friends out to play. Normal rancors aren't that bad but the Mutant Enraged lairs are a blast. Every once in a while when you take on an Enraged lair a 'Monstrous Brute' spawns. He's not much different from a Enranged Rancor in the first place but kinda neat when they do spawn. The loot you get out of rancors is preaty weird at times too. Not just padded segments and bile but armor peices and weapons and broken componenets. They aparently eat anything. hehe.
You are going to have some trouble finding the mobs that your CM can be of an advantage if you are brining a spectator along. The CM helps out a lot against Kimos and Krayts (a ton of meat in those too) and against large groups of med level mobs but not much is too tough buffed.

Nice tactic on the Rancor lairs but tell me... would you be able to do that without the doc buffs?

Maybe if I made a macro:
/heal; /firstaid; /curestate;/area attack whatever;/pause 2; /macro dath_death;
No, I don't even buy a ticket to Dath without a buff. Not sure who would try rancors without buffs.... I guess if you have a very nice pet to tank for you.... or youcould kite rancors but I can't kite. It doesn't fit my play style at all. If I can't stand and fight then I die. I guess that's why I hated the ranged profs so much. That's a dangerous planet to kite anyway. You always get stuck on logs and every other creature there is very aggressive. Just to add to the spice of that planet, NS and SM spawn just about anywhere. To add to it, the planet is the darkest of all the planets... expecially in the rain.
The fun thing about the rancor lairs is having them all over you. If you are going to send a pet in to tank or cover/conceal then stay on Dant. Dant is a much safer planet. Attacking a Rancor lair isoneof the roller coaster's of SWG. You don't get the full effectunless you tap the lair before hitting any of them. Being in the middle of a 6-8 rancor swarm, constantly being knocked down and bleeding, these giants roaring all the time.... it's great! When you think you are making progress, more spawn to replace those youve taken out. When you finally start taking them down, the ground shakes in approval.
This ride is generally reserved for master meleeonly but with a nice touch of CM, you too can ride the rancor rollercoaster.... but everyone that goes for rancors in this method is sure to last about 30 seconds unbuffed... unless you are only on the junior rancor ride. The best ride envolves the enranged. . . You better have some really nice area and singles if you plan on taking on the Ancient ride.
