Thread: Question about my template....anyone have any suggestions? Criticisms?
this is a darn good question, im looking for reply's myself
I currently hold
- master rifle
- CM - 4 4 0 0
- Pistoleer 0 4 3 4
- various FS skills
seems to work well although im only level 78. it prevents any ranged from kiting me, and having CM pistols stops short ranged. although giving up some defences as master pistoleer you still get damage potential with CM.
My thoughts anyhow.
Well, since you are ranged, I would say Electrolyte drain is your friend if the Jedi isnt a FR jedi. You dont really have to worry about Paralizing them since you probably have some rooting shots already. Combining Electrolite drain and thyroid rupture will drop their movement AND attack speed by 40 percent, which, if you are hunting a paddy that hasnt gone very far up LS yet, can be quite devastating. Your over all best be though is going to be a combination of thrroid rupture, keeping the target rooted, and DOTs. If you dont have the points for thyroid rupture, i would definatly reccomend going as far up in poison and fire as you can. As far as healing yourself, bacta shot followed by an advanced bacta toss on your self will get SOME of your life back up, but I would say make sure you spend the money on some good defense food, and some 1220 instant stims.

I do hunt Jedi, and am looking for a decent healing // attack template.
Currenly i have:
Bounty Hunter : 4-4-4-0
Carbineer : Master
Combat Medic: 4-4-0-0
Now i understand that i wont be able to out heal the Jedi...but what should I look for for any alterations? Should i kee the deuteriniam and poison tosses, or should i go for the tree with shock?

I used underhand shot, got a knockdown, ran up to my target, applied electrolyte drain and thyroid ruptrue....target got up, hit me 2xs, i applied paralyze, backed up and healed, and continued the fight...i really liked this strategy.
now to find a way to get the DOTS back....maybe sacrafice the healing line and take the poison and fire skills and just use stimspacks...
It's my understanding that the damage ticks from DoTs will undo paralyze, so once you've applied a DoT, paralyze is all but useless.
If that's actually the case, then I would question that you would need DoTs. The ability to stop your opponent in his tracks so you can have a quick breather I would think would be more beneficial than the DoT damage.
But I'm no PvP expert, so my opinion is probably worth squat.
