So, soo, soooo lost. I come back from a year+ hiatus to my CM/Pistoleer toon and I've no clue what is going on... where would/could I go to get a condensed list of FAQ on CM has happened mostly since the CU?

Try reading the top posts on this forum... the ones that are stickied!
We are considered strong offense (4) Low defense (2) Medium crowd control (3)
MCM is now, imo a support class... keeping people alive and dealing damage in the form of fires and poisons... we also have quite a few bebuffs that may mean the difference between life and death.
The best way to know is obviously to try... 
One more thing: Bacta toss and poison and deuterium tosses are all innate skills, meaning you don't need to use a item present in your inventory.
