Thread: Wise to Add the Doc Cure DOTs (Pathogen) Line?

Also get the buff ability. I'm planning to go MCM-MCarb (or RIfle)-Doc 0400. THink it's worth investing points into the cures? I'm kind of tired of being unable to heal them, plus it would be nice to have an advantage against other CMs.

cure poison and disese both have foods that do this ... haven't verified how reliable they are but considering what a large number of skill points you're talking about its worth looking into Poison is Jaar I think, forget what disease is ...

MCM, MRifles, Doctor 2/2/0/0. I have enough for the base poison, fire, disease, and bleed cures. In PvP these become essential. Even ifmy opponentsare using enhancers I can cure off enough of the DoT in a single shot that it is no longer a major issue. I also get increased healing efficiency to improve my regular heals. I also get bacta jab but its fairly worthless atm.


Having the ability to heal wounds is also kinda nice. Being able to buff would also be nice although that ability isn't that great during combat except after you've rezzed someone. Being a novice doctor still gives you the base nutrient buff.

Thanks for y'all's feedback.


Well crap, I was all set not to get Doc till I read this. Here are the two groups of skills I have to choose from:


MCM MR Carb 0440 Medic 0410

extras: I get +50 gen ranged acc, +20 to both melee and range def

as well as Imp Chargeshot (kd), Imp Cripshot (snare), Imp Suppression fire (aoe snare), and Imp Legshot (more powerful than any rifle nuke)


or


MCM MR Doc 2200 Medic 4440

extras: Iget cure all DoTs, +45 Healing eff, and nutrient buff


With the latter, I am more of a healer-tank type--with the former I am much more of an offensive power. If the rifleman specials were better, I'd go the doc route without hesitation, but the carb specials fired from 64m are pretty devastating and make rifleman about 3x stronger. On theother hand, it gets annoying as heck to be unable to stop DoTs and healing wounds is now a chore as well.


I guess it comes down to beating other CMs. Is it better to cure their DoTs or to try and blow them away before I go down? Also how will the gank squad dynamic come into play? If you're going up against more than one person, DoTs will be the end of you if you can't cure them. Then again, it would be a waste to have a weapon that doesn't do a lot on its own (rifle).


I'd master carbs if there were a Recon Armor cert there, and be done with it. But, of course,there ain't.


I think I have one more day of respec so any quick help is appreciated.

I've said it before in this thread but it appears to have been overlooked or ignored or somthing ....My reason doc has become obsolete foods/drinks and rez arm.


· Jaar : Cure poison fill58 instantaneous
· Dustcrepe : Cure Disease fill60 Instantaneous


And while there isn't a cure fire there are these:

Ithorian Mist : Fire Resistance +62 Fire Absorption +15 fill16 16min36s
· Trimpian : Fire resistance +40 Fire absorption +20 fill7 22min40s

That stomach space is critical though. Nonetheless the extra weapons lines seem to make such a difference I don't know if I can give them up
