Thread: CM kiting macro
Kiting is very easy with CM, I'm not sure what macro you are using... I dont use one myself, but I can give you an example of how I kite with CM.
Get a ranged droid or pet that can obey attack, follow, and stay. Target a cl94 ancient krayt from 100m away, tell your pet to stay and then position yourself at right angle to the line of the krayts attack, then command the pet to "attack" then "stay".
The ancient krayt will now be going straight for your pet. Due to serverlag and warping I will now be spamming stopping shot even though it says +Too Far+, when the krayt eventually gets in range the shot hits and as long as it doesn't miss, it is rooted.
If it does miss, the krayt kills the pet and returns to its spawn point. You can heal your pet and try again.
If it does stick , I run in to 10m away and stick Improved Electrolyte Drain on, my pet still has aggro and I do not get hit. It can be quite hard to judge the krayts true position due to the client/server lag that we have, but it works 9 times out of 10. Then I retreat and tell my pet to followand lob fire and poison, then warning shot and dump my action via Quickdraw and Body shot.
By the time that damage is done and my action is gone, stopping shot is ready again so I can use it and apply any dots that didnt stick.
You have to run around in cirlces at least 10m away from the krayt as it will +Retreat+ if you pull it too far away.
When drain is about to run out, stick stopping shot and run in and reapply. Repeat until it dies.
Sometimes I get killed by warps caused by serverside lag, sometimes the thing +Retreats+ because I took to long and I have to quickly reengage it... most times it dies... and it's a lot easier if you bring a friend to do some extra damage.
The key is that you should never get hit... using this method you can kill any melee mob in the game...
Got flamed by some people in Theed for kiting them in PvP, I don't recommend a macro, as every fight can be different.
A very easy combo, that rarely fails me in non-jedi battles (including ranged, haven't tried much with rifleman though).
I'm also master rifles, so that helps 'cause I have huge range.
1. Paralyze
2. Thyroid Rupture
3. Electrolyte Drain
4. Run
From that point you do what you want, usually I toss fire and begin alternating headshot/startleshot and healing myself when necessary.
Have defeated several melee-people with hardly getting hit.
