Hi, I'm new to the combat medic profession and I have a question I hope some of you can answer. Ok how does a combat medic gains xp. I've been throwing poison, fire, diseae to creatures while hunting and i never get any xp's. Can some one tell me what's the method to gain cm xp's thanks for your cooperation.

Heal in combat, just toss 1 heal on a party member in a fight, and do no other actions other then CM actions otherwise your med xp gained will be less

Hi,
At this point, i think you get no xp by poisoning or throwing fire on critters... only by healing will you get xp... i might be wrong though and this bug already corrected... If you get a good group and keep healing in cycles (bacta toss, bacta jab ? and bacta spray) you should cap your xp in no time . Be wary though of bacta spray, since it will draw more aggro than area taunt.
Hope this helps,
Fesse (FS healer)

i think they might have fixed area agro as i was bacta spraying next to mobs and they would just ignore me. might be though a problem associated with group cases.

the way the hate system an agro works is the mobs attack whoever has done the most damage to THEM.
Now with your area heals, it count's against all ACTIVE MOBS, against any one you are healing. So if say 5 mobs are attacking your MT and 1 mob each for 2 other people. you go in and hit bacta spray, your damage to EACH mob increases by the TOTAL AMOUNT healed to ALL. Which is where our imence hate comes in. Now if your group is total doing uber damage then you don't have to worry too much, its when you have to do like 3 consecutive bacta spray's with a shot through in inbetween each one ![]()
Oh, and the other night i got triple incapped in under 30 seconds... I mean wow, that is a lot ![]()

I used area the other night & think I've come to some perhaps already stated conclusions. In any case I saw this thread and thought to post. forgive me if it isn't original.
Assume the typical scenario where your group is pulling & you (the CM) is firing a few DOTs & healing. Your group is at least 32+ meters from the lair.
Use bacta spray while close to the lair you'll get aggro'd
Use bacta spray while far from the lair but the creature is still close to it (and your group is attacking the creature). You'll get aggrod.
Use bacta spray while creature is a distance from the lair and away from other creatures and you won't get aggrod.
I haven't found the actual hate detection radius when using BactaSpray but I guess it's all dictated by when you use it and how close the creature is from the lair and other spawns.
I haven't ruled spawns of the same creature type from other lairs & if they aggro. ( I think they do but not 100% sure).

As far as the "hate" radius is concerned, its larger than 20m I know for sure.
Any bacta spray in the Death Watch Bunker will draw every last droid/npc in the room to the CM. every time.

I allready mentioned this elsewhere - it is a major disadvantage that medics do not earn combat XP off thier med XP since they gaint eh med Xp in combat using thier skills like any full combat profession does. Similarly, using the paralyze and other such things should yield medic XP as well which in turn should yield combat XP.
