Is there no defense for this?

I was watching the timer in a friendly duel and they can actually stack another on me, before the timer completely goes. When its down to its last seconds, they apply again. If im lucky i get a split second to attack. Only to have them hit me again.

This would be like me using KD or Root again before the first has worn off. So whats up with this?

No I dont think there is a defence vs paralyze.

We can paralyze you and apply debuffs. Its hard to apply debuffs on someone if he isnt distracted by someone else hence why paralyze is there I would think.

Not sure if you can reapply paralyze over and over and over again but the second he touches you with anything that is doing damage the paralyze will go off, so you will never ever get killed by being paralyzed.

If a cm throws poison or fire on you the paralyze effect will be worthless. since it will break everytime the poison/fire ticks.

I think paralyze sticks for 10 seconds, enough to apply two or tops 3 debuffs. If I'm not mistaken the recharge of the paralyze is 10 or 11 seconds. Maby that is a bit fast 12 - 15 seconds might be better to not be constantly stuck.

As far as I know, there is no defense against paralyze.

Since it will break on any damage dealt to you, you dont have to worry about your health dropping while being paralyzed.

But the smart CMs will beat the heck out of you while you do the same with them, and suddenly you will find yourself paralyzed and see the CM heal himself while you cannot heal yourself. Im sorry for the melee guys who cant kite...

You should be able to get a Lunge or Sweep somewhere there, in which case, they're in trouble.

Ive found if they do the KD, attack , until they are down in health, they then paralyze me to heal themselves. So essentially they have unlimited health. I dont mind this, but I never agreed with stackable states like this. Thisis a bad idea. None of these powerful attacks that leave you unable to fight back should be able to be stacked (warcry, KD, root, paralyze).. There needs to be a timer on all thesebefore you can apply it again.

the timmer on paralize is exactly the same as its duration. meaning you cant paralize two targets at once.

Paralyze is NOT stackable.

It is reappliable, there is a big difference.

Stackable means that you have multiple paralzyse states on you at the same time, like multiple bleeds, or multiple burns et cetera ad naseum.

We can't hurt you when we do it, we can jsut heal or buff ourselves or run away.

Paralyze is only useful as a delaying or crowd control skill since it breaks with the first point of damage. It does not stack but can be overwritten by another CM. However, that diverts 2 CM's to control 1 person which is very inefficient. As far as duels go its a great "second chance" to have for escaping or a small breather. There is nothing overpowering about it. If it didn't break with damage then you might actually have something to worry about.

Duels are stupid. Group PvP is all that matters.

well personally i think it can be alittle overpowering, and thats great to me. When fighting a jedi i need all the help i can get. He can heal himself for 1500 each go, thats not including the force infusion he is using. So i need the 15 seconds. Improved paralyze lets me heal up twice, throw out a stim, and have full health. IF i take ruby, then i can use my stims every 30 secs. This makes me very tough to beat. Fact is I try to do a Paralyze once a minute, and heal up. This will make my fight last a good while even against a 226k mission ( only done one, and i would of won but he used cloak and ran, i should of used a few poisons to keep him going down).

definitely not overpowering.... and u have to be close to use it. AND it can't be reused over and over....we'd run out of action or mind (can't remember which). its shorter in duration than a root. with a root u can root someone much farther away than u can shoot if u use the right equipment, then u can repeatedly shoot them while they are helplessly stuck there. or u can heal yourself...roots last much longer too.

hmmm, well personally i would take this all day over any root. Roots do not disable them from using moves, only from moving. Fact is paralyze does both. with improved paralyze you get an 15 second window or something close. With improved stopping shot you get the exact same window, and just uses about the same amount of action as paralyze does to mind. And its perfect also to do a 2 on 1 jedi hunt with a friend. Paralyze, gives your friend 15 extra seconds to wait out the 30 second timer to use his stims ( thats considering he is using ruby bliel). Also u can heal him once. So yeah, its a very good move. Maybe in some ways not overpowering but if you use it correctly, its a very good one on one or group move.

You and I have comeplete opposite thoughts on application of Paralyze.

I'm keeping MCM as long as I can while I grind Jedi.

When I get hunted, I plan to paralyze, mezz the heck outof the guy, paralyze again and run like hell

(now have to see if I can repair my barc in combat, won't that be a laugh)
