Yes they can. They have the regular bacta shot, a bacta toss that heals from 35m and a bacta spray that heals everybody in the immediate area.

If you are having trouble with them, also remember that you have to be the same status (off-duty can heal off-duty, combatant heals combatant and special forces heal special forces). Also if you are an Imperial you can't heal a rebel and vica versa.

edited bacta toss range to correct distance.

How much are these heals improved when you get Master Doctor?

Master Combat Medic/Master Doctor = BAD COMBO = NO FIGHTING SKILLS REALLY. Master Combat Medic/Master Marksman Skill/4000 Doctor = Does decent damage/Heals really good. I am a Master Combat Medic/Master Carbineer/4000 in Doctor which means I do a fair ammount of damage with my Carbine and I can heal about 850 with Bacta Toss and 890 with Advanced Bacta Shot. If you were Master Doctor/Master Combat Medic/Master Medic you could prob. Heal like 1,000 but then again, you would have no fighting skills which means you would be the group haler but as soon as you heal a person, the NPC's go right after the healers and boom, you would die since you would not be able to defend yourself.

MCM+MDoc+Pistols0004 or Pistols0031 or other variants is actually very hard to kill. I mean very very hard.

I have a template like that which I play and I can outheal anything thrown at me and keep the group alive. Solo, the doc speed buff helps up the actual DPS output you get and the stopping shot reduces the armour damage you take (especially if your group's tank isn't great at getting the aggro off you)

A good compromise to get extra healing power is to take MPistols with 5 lines of Doc and CM

eg: CM4404 + Doc4014 + MPistols. Superb soloing template.

M Pistols + MCM + Doc4000 gives great heals too and the CM stuff sticks more often.

It's all down to what you want to do and how much you understand your template.

Example: people say TKM/MCM doesn't work, but I tried it during respec and (to someone who understands CM) it's quite a good build.
