Thread: Even when broke CM's are fun to play
Just thought it was funny last night I decided to goof off with poisons a bit. On Naboo I found a bunch of Chubas(Green cons) and fired my poison A at one of them....resisted. Keeping in mind I am a Master CM. Fired another...resisted....fired another...resisted.....fired another resisted....fired another resisted.....fired another and it landed woot!!! ONly took 6 tries....yeah baby!!! So anyways dot lands, Chuba runs up to me so I stand there waiting for it to die....waiting.....waiting.....waiting....goddamit its killing me...pull my gun out and cap it. I did get some Poison C's to land when at the PvsE battlefield which was nice, but those resisted too much too.
As a CM, and playing in PvsE for the first time, I do believe CM's are great! We are life savers in combat and its alot of fun. If / when they fix Area heals and our poison/disease packs, we will really be fun to play. Just wanted to share that because lately I have felt like I should of gone the doctor route, but in combat last night I changed my mind. I wouldnt want to be in combat as a Doctor having to stand next to everyone to heal.
I too have been wondering if I have made a mistake by stalling myself at master medic for 2 weeks (while I wait for ranged combat 4 exp). My heal skill and med crafting have been capped all this time. Last night sealed the deal with me too... I'm not going doctor.
What happened is this: I'm in a group of 5... 3 marksman, one hybrid marksman/medic (me), and one brawler. We were fightingagressive cats. I'm having to stand next to (within 6 meters) the brawler to keep him alive. I'm on some spice, so my blue bar is staying full... no sweat... everything is cool till the cat starts to eat away his blue bar. He gets incapped a couple of times because of some laggy heals... (I don't use specials in group combat, I just never really know when the heals are gonna land, most the time they land in time.) Then he gets incapped the final time on his blue bar (doh, can't heal that). So he gets deathblowed. Well guess who the next target is? ME. Two swipes from the cat and I'm dead. Not incapped... but DEAD.
This happened to me twice last night. Similar scenarios havehappened to me many times before. I'm tired of drawing aggro... maybe I don't know how it works, but it seems like I'm a good target since I'm real close to their last meal. Also for some reason I get killed, while my party members get incapped only. What am I missing? Is there any ryhme or reason for who gets killed and who gets incapped (besides the 3 incap = dead)?
I can't wait to be able to stand back a bit and use ranged stims, and maybe we'll all stay alive a bit.
