Thread: How to fix poisons and diseases

First of all, give us poison and disease Ds.

Secondly, it's impossible to get a truly effective poison pack. You simply can't get the effectiveness, potency, and range high enough to be practical, with only 10 experimentation points. I've made plenty of great poisons, but suffered in range, or ones that are good range, but can't stick, or can stick but don't do any damage... it's impossible to win. I'm a master combat medic, I'm a chemical warfare expert, maybe I should get something decent to back it up.

Third. Fix the AoE. Simple enough. Give them more power, make them usable. As it is they're a bit too weak. I can picture throwing an AoE mind poison into a group of raiders... that's going to make an impact on the battle.

Fourth: Diseases as they work now are completely worthless. Why throw a disease in ANY situation when you can throw a poison? Not only are they fairly ineffective, but who in their right mind would rather do wounds over damage? The solution: make diseases last a long, long, long time. Including AFTER cloning. Make it something that makes some sort of impact on whoever's diseased. This improves the value of not only combat medics offensively, but improves the value of doctors, since they're the only ones who can cure it. If I'm going to be giving up my damage dealing or healing capability in combat to throw diseases, at least make it worth it.

just remove disease totally...its just a tool to cause grief..no one will want to PvP if all people do is throw wounds that require u to sit out of battle while getting healed...

i have disease and i refuse to use it...i have been hit by a BH flameshot which does a 350 damage and 80 wound every 15 for close to 2 mins..

all it did was kill me and force me to sit in the hospital to heal myself...

disease is a poor idea and the more you use it the more people will literally hate u...

how would u feel if some purposely created downtime for u...

not fun...disrespectful to ur opponent...

PvP is fun cuz there are other people u play against...u greive them all into the med center PvP isnt fun...

> trust me no one wants PvP to turn into grieving...

Taking opponents out of battle for extended period of time is NOT griefing no matter how many times you say it is. I can give you numerous examples from many MMORPG PvP games where tools are given to players to make sure dead person is out of battle for some time. Even in SWG - on the battlefield - once you are dead - you are OUT. It's not QuakeFest - there must be consequence for attacking, and ways to take people out of the battle.

> and the temp TEF on the person who killed u bug needs to be fixed...

That's common misconception - it's not a bug it's a feature (as stated by devs several times) designed to avoid corpse camping and promote conscentual retribution.
It can be easily avoided - do NOT camp corpses, do not fight near clone center and take enemy out in such a way so that he has no ability to attack you for a time TEF wears off (hince wounds)

Awesome! So not only were you eliminated from the battle but you could not come back right away with TEF to finish your oponent.
That's excellent for PvP.

> disease is a poor idea and the more you use it the more people will literally hate u...

I am playing RP game. I WANT Rebels to hate me! I want them to fear me!
If they know then when attacked by me they are out for the battle and will not be able to run stright back out of clone center to help their buddies - that will make them think twice before engaging me.

> how would u feel if some purposely created downtime for u...

I would feel that they done a great job and I shall excersise caution next time I attack them. If I wanted no downtime - I would play entertainer in cantina and chat with people

> not fun...disrespectful to ur opponent...

It's always the same in any game - every time someone finds upper hand - it's immediatly labeled as something bad and frowned by people who can't use it
My only gripe with decease is - it does not stick too often
Hopefully they are working on it though.

wounds are no fun...they make people get bored...

i want people to PvP...i want people to come back when they die...

its one thing to have people "hate" u in game and then there is people that really think that u are a **%%*&^* because u are purposely making them sit out of the game...

honestly PvP should maintain a certain level of decorum and respect...

i dont mind getting killed...its part of the game, i dont like people going lets just f**k elenora over so she has to sit in a med center all day to heal...

did u play this game to sit in a cantina or a mind all day? if u did ud be a entertainer and the disease issue wouldnt even bother u...

trust me no one wants PvP to turn into grieving...and the temp TEF on the person who killed u bug needs to be fixed...
