Thread: I think you guys may have been living the hard way
Use /healdamage, not /tenddamage.
Way, way lower mind cost... andno mind wounds OR Battle fatigue. I thought you guys would have figured that one out by now, I mean... I figured it out as a novice medic. Look up the button in the control A menu if the /healdamage doesn't work, cause that might be the case. I am certain the button doesn't give wounds.
Remember that there are two different commands for healing, and two different buttons. And one is obviously better than the other.
i believe that the /tend gives mental damage because it is a trade off for not having to use a medpack?
i know i use /tendwound in the med center while i make a new pack because i wasn't paying attention and ran the one i had out of charges![]()
Oh wow, you can heal without a stim pack?
Wait a tick... Bah. Too lazy to test that theory out. Maybe I'll do it tomarrow afternoon, hehe.
Uh, like, yeah! That's WHY there are two ways to heal wounds and damage. One doesn't require meds, but causes mind damage and wounds and BF; the other causes less damage, and no wounds/BF. One isn't intrinsically better than the other; it depends on the circumstances (i.e., do you have meds, or not?).
I would've thought you'd've learned that by now. I know I did as a novice medic.
Heh. I didn't notice the stims packs not being used... While my mind was being wasted away like nothing...
Also this sounds a lot like the description for /quickheal. What's the difference? I know only one thing about quickheal. It costs a hell of a lot of mind... so much that I've never been able to use it before.
"An instant, medicine free heal." Both of them do that, both of them cause wounds, one of them costs a crapload of mind. Hmmm.
Okay quick lesson
Healxxx uses medicine and does no damage to you
Tendxxx does not use medicine, but does damage mind and cause BF
Quickheal does a lot of damage to you, but fully heals your target. Its a life or death in second thing.
If you didn't know this and are in the Medical Profession much less Combat Medic suggest you go back and read your manual and check the holocron cause you don't even have the basics down
EmDee Cutter
Novice Doctor
Cornet
NoviceCombat medic here, I don't really know the basics cause I managed to breeze pretty fast through medic. Btw with maxed secondary mind stats how much mind does a quickheal cost?
And Jake, when you /healdamage it deals minor mind damage to you, but enough to drain your pool after about 20 heals in rapid succession. But thanks for the info.
I was just writing this cause I heard like 30 people screaming "TAKES WOUNDS FOR HEALING POEPEAL OUIT!!!!!!!!!11111oneoneoneone" when you can just use a stimpack and avoid all the stupid wounds.
