Hello all,

I am a new Expert Combat Medic and up to this point I have very little "combat" with CM. I have dabbled in making my own poisons and diseases but to not avail, not to the potency of some of the CM that have sold them to me.

I realized that I was only making the low-level meds and could not make the upper level ones because I needed identical components from factory crates so...

Can I make these advanced components into crates or do I have to purchase them and if so from whom?
I have the ingredients but have no idea how to put them in factory crates.

My second question is this...
When using experiment points what categories should I use to make the best advanced component?

Thanks in advance to all that can help...

So you want to start making advanced components.

First you need to make sure you have the ingrediants needed, and a food and chemical factory. What you then do, is go to a crafting station and make your item. Instead of creating a prototype item, you should create a manufacturing schematic. You will want to experiment this item fully, just as if you were hand crafting something.

Each advanced component has 1-2 ways to experiment it, and different combat medics will tell you different things. I think 1 of the components has 2 experimentation lines, and the other 2 components only have 1. When the component only has 1 experimentation line, the decision is easy. For the component with 2 lines, the choice is really up to you. I usually put more into power than use, but try to put points into both of them. Overall, it depends on what you want to make out of your poisons.

Now that you have your schematic, you need to go to your factory. Make sure that you have put maintence and power in your factory before you start. Now in the factory options, you can enter the schematic into the factory, and then access the ingrediant hopper. Put enough resources in the hopper so that you can complete the nessesary number of components you need. Then set the factory to start crafting. Most advanced components take 120 seconds per component crafted. This should help you determine how long it will take your factory to finsih.

After you have finished, the output hopper of your factory will contain "factory crates" of your components.

Ok, so I need a Factory?

Hmmmm that is new to me. There are no "public" factories?

Thank you very much for the response I appreciate it.

Factories are purchased from architects and they take up 1 lot each. You need to make sure to get a food and chemical factory though.

Or you can try and find someone who will let you barrow there factory.

Im more than happy to lease Factory time for a nominal fee to cover maint and power costs.

Well, that would be great however I am on Kauri and I have no problem paying a large sum for this assistance.

Marm, if cost isnt a concern to you I'd recomend you get your own factory. A food/chem factory will probably cost in the relm of 50,000 credits, and then they only require about 1200 credits a day to keep on the ground. They're very nice for making components, and also for making large quantities of the meds you use. It's very nice being able to experiment once on something, and get it to be a particularly good success, and then replicate that design using a factory.

I currently run 5 factories and have 3 storage houses.

Sometime next week when I up my production level, I'll be running 8 factories total.

I'm looking at investing in my first factory atm;

If I make a draft schematicusing great components and well experimented, di I have to use the same materials when making them in my factory?

If not, will all the finished products be as good as the schematic if I use lesser components?

Yeah, you will need to use the exact same materials that you used for the schematic in the factory. The serial numbers for the components (resources)need to match.

That makes sense I guess!
