Heya all,

I just hit MCM and I am also a master doc, but I did not spend a whole lot of time fighting with combat medic so I will have a learning curve to get over on the battle field (I PL'd quicly so I could join friends in PvP sooner). I was hoping some of the more experienced MCM's out there could help give me some tips. Anyway, I plan to purchase at least my first set of supplies and was wondering what everyone finds most useful in PvP?

What level area stims?

Should I use poisons and/or disease and what types? Mind is what I seem to hear most.

What kind of stats should I look for when purchasing these items and what can I expect to pay?

Should I even bother to hotkey the mind heal? What all do you keep on your PvP battle hot-key?

Thanks, in advance, for any info!

The type of poison used in PvP really depends on the type of damage your group is going to do. If you are grouped with Bounty Hunter's then Mind is the way to got, but if you are group with pistoleers and Commandos then maybe Health is the way to got. In case where you have a mix, then the damage that is being dealt the most should be supplemeneted by the corresponding poison.

I would have to /agree with xhenn. As a CM/pistoleer I use mostly health poisons/ I can stack that with bleed shot and body shot to go after health.

Hmm, as for PvP, I Keep a AoE mind poison and a Single shot Mind poison and the same with diseases. As far as PvE, Im a pistoleer, so I keep AoE Health poisonand Single shot Healths. It allows me to adjust as needed.

In big battles use the mind disease. Takes them out of the fight till they watch a dancer.

So poisons are better to start with than diseases? Or do you hit with both? I was thinking disease would be better because of wounds...need a doc/droid/dancer to heal vs just a stim-pack.

Thanks again for all the good info!

I would say if the fight draws on for awile. Toss 2 Mind Area Poisons. If it needs any help after that, use mind area desease. Dont even waste a desease on a TKA unless you know you can run for awile. If a TKA comes after me I usually just use Supression Fire. I forgot I had that ability for awile. If you have a couple skill points left you could take rifle 1 and get mind shot 1. Stopping shot usually does the trick hitting mind for me though.

As a CM (although just a dabbler) I'd say they're very effective in PVP. There is no easy or quick way to cure a decent poison aside from being a MASTER Doc. Even then it can take a try or two sometimes it seems to fully dump a poison, plus they have to be within a couple meters of the person being cured.

What does this mean? 1 CM sitting there in a large lobbing mind poisons and whatnot around can do horrendous damage to the opposing force. Far faster than a doc could hope to fix it.

1 on 1 its even worse. Can toss a mind poison (since mind is almost always the weakest and unhealable stat) and kite/run/hide for a bit, then pop 'em once and you win.

I gave up CM for a short while, but am very happily getting it back in the next few days. Very nice toolto have for PVP.

For big fights you can be like half the CM's on my server and grief people over and over. I've seened them stripped bare. They come, throw an AE mind disease. Die. Repeat x20.

Of course if you're actually respectable at all, the previous suggestions are great Mind poisons/diseases seem to be the most effective because its easy to heal health/action during a fight, but Mind takes a cantina.

In PvP it really depends. I carry around a single mind poison, area mind poison and are mind disease. If it's 1v1 I usually stack the mind poisons, if they are pretty strong and I wanna keep out of LOS I also add the mind disease. If I see a large group I throw area poison with area disease. But if you find someone like monika on intrepid that has insane defenses and tons of mind so she regens it fast I go with stacked mind poisons with a willpower poison. Regen that now, lol.
