I don't think it would, but yesterday I was buffing people around 2,700-2,800 with master doc/cm. Today, I dropped master CM and used the same buff packs, same clothes, bivoli was just 0.2 difference, and I was buffing around 2,500.

Buffing is based off Wound Treatment bonus which the CM profession does not provide. Answer is no.

Thanks for the quick responses...I didn't think it did, but what else could have made that much of a difference...I don't think that a 0.2 difference in bivoli would have done it, but what else could? :s

Actually, your bonus should be close to 200 with the food

100 wound treatment doctor skill + 25 BE enhanced food + 25 BE enhanced wound/injury clothing = +150 the max modifier you can use for buffs. Thats the cap and nothing can make it go higher.

Sorry, ment a 200 point boost to the actual end number off the buffs.....2400 without food should end up at 2600ish with food

Would .2 make any noticable diffrence in buff quality?

Interesting. Can you confirm that, either by your personal test or the test of somebody you reasonably trust?

I ask this because in most cases, the rounding only happens at "the end", and not in a mid-point like the effectiveness of a food. And also in most cases, the system rounds to the nearest number instead of blanket rounding down, with the exception of x.5 rounding down instead of the standard up...

Thanks.

Read it on the chef forums, so I tried it myself. I can confirm it from my own test. I had 2 different bivolis (+24.1 and +24.7) and got the exact same numbers for every buff.

Aha. Thanks for clarifying that. Very nice to know.

Now to go mock by doctor friends for paying for that extra .3 effectiveness...

Player Cities that have the bonus to medical rating will make it go over the +150 cap, so the original poster was likely in such a city the 1st time and not in one the 2nd time he tried buffing.
