Hello all.

I looted a jar of rancor bile from a rancor on dathomir.....

I heard taht combat medics use them so I decided to use this forum to ask a few questions:

What are they good for (and is there different qualities on them?)

And how much can I sell rancor bile for? ´

I have a few that i haven't used yet (cuz Ill be mastering later today!). But I believe they are used instead of disperal mechinisms and are about 3x as powerful. As for prices I have seen them for 10k, which I think is rather ridiculious. However I bought mine for 5k, which is still very pricey. I am curious as to how effective they are and if 5k is worth it for 1 jar.

This may help a little, but if anyone knows exactly how effective they are that would be of help to me as well!

The jar I got had 70 charges in it... which is quite alot I assume, and 5K cant be pricey for something looted of rancors only... maybe its not that good?

Rancor Biles are a double edged sword.

They do replace Dispersals and the add to the amount of charges you get in one poison BUT they reduce the range at which you can throw it.

I don't think many CM's would pay more than 2-3k for it, then again you can find a young CM and sell it to him for 40k

I personally dont touch this stuff. Its worthless for Area poisons, and because it has no range rating the range is greatly reduced (got base 18 range on my rancor poison, using my regular components i get around 35). Its only useful quality is the fact that you can get an absurd amount of charges with them. I think i got 95 on the one I made. But really, i would rather have a 30 charge good poison than 95 charges of worthless poison.

I've seen auctions on the galaxy boards where the stuff sells for 30k a piece though. As has been previously said, its overhyped so it will probably sell to someone who doesn't know better yet.

hmm i was about to come ask the same question but after reading this i have a different one:

If 2-3k is the going price (and seeing how 1) they lower the range and 2) i think 2-3k is way too much for these) would 500 each be something you all would be willing to pay for them with the lowered range?

Do what they suggest. Atempt to sell it to those who don't know any better. You'll get a better deal that way. Not that I condone ripping people off....

I Would Certainly Buy them For 500 each....Lower ranged poisons do have their place at times, and the Increased charges is "nice". I Don't know if i would buy them for 3k tho......honestly they would be barely worth it IMO...
