Thread: Mission Difficulty, or Why won't they pay me for taking out a Kamurith Lair?

One thing that I noticed upon going from Master TK/ Master Doc to Master CM/Master Doc is that the mission difficulty dropped quite abit. I understand that difficulty is unlocked by your weapon skill however, CM's ability to poison a target is not factored into the equation. Even when I group with others, my meager pistol 4 skill doesn't really raise the allowable difficulty level by more than a couple points. I remember in the past that the CH profession suffered the same fate at the terminals but, for the most part, the pets are now accounted for. I'm sure that this is a difficult thing to code, but what I'm asking is that (at least in groups) that your medical skill be accounted for when judging what mission difficulty you are allowed to select from. My points are as follows:

1. a buffed group will fair better against a mob than an unbuffed group.

2. a group with a full time healer will do better as well.

3. a CM with poison capabilities can inflict damage that is closer to an elite profession than it is to someone with just pistol/carb/rifle 4.

I'm sure that there are many other issues that people would like the Devs to "fix" first, but this is honestly at the top of my list. Anyone else have any comments that they would like to add?

don't know why it's happening but it seems to be widespread. submit a bug report - as should we all - otherwise SOE won't fix it.

They definately need to account somehow for medic/poison skill. I can take out a heck of a lot stronger targets than what the mission terminals offer me on the starting planets. On the adventure planets I get about what my skills can handle (of course those are the easiest missions you can get on those planets).

This just makes for increased difficulty making money as a Combat Medic.

Actually the worst thing about the Master CM/Master doc combo with a couple boxes in marksman is that not only do you get underpaid missions while soloing, you actually seem to lower the group level (maybe works on an averaging system?).

As an example. Grouping witha Master commando friend (we both like to group, not solo), he gets missions a lot lower than he would get while solo. The only way to rectify this is either he takes the missions before he groups me or we break out faction pets for the terminal, then store them for the actual hunt (so we both get missions that are actually hard enough to be more than boring).

It doesn't seem very noticable anymore if you have more than two people in group (e.g. pets etc) but it is very noticable if you try this in a two person team.

Submitted a bug report on this sinceit can only be a bug. Unless a healer makes a fighter less able to fight and survive encounters. I used to think it was the other way round
