Thread: Help a lonely Pikeman understand Poison
So I'm a pikeman and I got a Vibro Lance drop from a Night Sister. It does mind poison, and here are the stats. Can you tell me if these poison stats are good? How do they compare to what combat medics can do?
Thanks for the info...I'm completely ignorant about using poison...
Damage over Time
Mind Poison
133 strength
138 seconds duration
54% potency
2210 uses
Final review: Its a little worse than a C poison made with regular components. Meaning don't expect huge results, but it will definately help out.

Well at a quick look, the potency is a little lower than what we make (potency being the %chance of the poison taking effect). The strength is about what I get using non-advanced components (usually 130 Effectiveness, 80 Potency). Haven't experimented with the advanced components, or maybe I should be honest I've been too lazy to track down the resources to make the advanced components. I dunno about the length though, never really looked at that.

Thanks for the info...about what I figured. What I don't know is how often the pike attempts to deliver the poison...every hit? Random? I'll have to see if I can figure it out.
BTW, you guys are the best...just want to let you know that us melee guys love the friendly neighborhood combat medics!
From the look of things, every time you swing you have an apporx 50% chance to land a mind DOT that will deal 130 damage every ten seconds. Duration is pretty straight forward and comparible to non ARC C poisons. My guess is that multiple applications of this would not increase the damage, but would probably bring the duration back to the original.
Compared with the poisons we would make, if we don't use advanced componants I would say it would be a B poison expiramented to high effectivness at the cost of potency.
It is strong enough that if you land a poison in PVP it will tick them to 1 point. Poisons will no longer incap. If you want to hit the mind pool of creatures it seems like a decent weapon. I don't know what you use for your base weapon damage but I'm sure that would alsobe part of the deciding factor.
