well, i had heard about the new resists a little, and not ever being a cm myself thought it was an obvious blatent necessity for pvp. as everyone knows the 4030doc, 4004cm, rifleman is just unstoppable witha few guys working together with it in pvp. personally im pretty sick of everything except pvp myself and i hear that the 4004 cm isnt gonna cut it now, and that master cm is needed, and some say that it isnt gonna be the uber pvp template at all with the new resists. just a question guys, im just tryin to find out how to give dark some competition on the pvp side, id be sick of pwnin 8 guys every time with just 5 if i was bmore/aquitus/hydro/luk and whoever, come on guys, anyone, gimme a clue whats gonna be needed with these new resists to give these guys some competition. this is all meant for more fun for everyone, i know this will turn into flaming somehow, so please refrain. any advise is welcome from anyone, or if its just a big question mark lemme know
all yours guys

You must realise that not everyone here plays on the Naritus server.
I have been trying to tell you guys this but your not listening. This will INCREASE the dabblers. Here's why. If anyone is a doctor they can counter a CM VERY easilly, as such a master won't mean much. To bypass the resistances one has to increase the potency. A byproduct of this is that the CM use is drasticlly lowered, hence lower level CMs can use the products and do the same general thing, take out unprepared people.
I know Terac kept saying one needs to be master to be effective, however what I'm worried about is that masters simply aren't effective at all. They were tweaking some numbers on the TC but I don't know what the tweaks are exactly. What I would like to see is potency increase as you climb the ranks of CM that way master would gain something over a dabbler (besides 25% damge and a few meters).

for me.. there hasn't been a better feeling brougth on from this game.. than just the other nite on dant.. when a RM friend of mine decided to start sniping some voritor while i was trying to transfer harvesters to him..
so there i am idly transferring harvesters when i notice his HA bars down to slivers.. his M bar was down to 1/5th (we weren't buffed btw).. chucked one of my crappy stim-D's (they REALLY suck.. 1st factory run i made.. decided to use them myself because i'd be embarrased to sell them).. then ran over to him and hit mindheal..
when i saw in the combat log 'you have healed Shadowcast Dark for 1100 points of mind damage'.. i knew from thaat moment.. that no nerfs.. no hard times finding resources.. no nothing could keep me away from CM for any real length of time
so yes.. it's still worth it.. even if it just is saving your friends from ztupid lizards that are about to maul them while you're giving them harvesters

Never met a CM hater that I respected enough to care about his or her opinion of me so I'd have to say I really don't know.

I agree that this nerf, as well as the previous distance nerf, will increase CM dabblers, because:
1) There is very little difference now in range between a MCM and CM 75 - something like 3 or 4 m.
2) There is little difference between thedamage per tick donebetween MCM and CM 75. There used to be a significant difference between damage per tick between MCMs and CM 75s on area poisons & disease, due to the need to throw some points into med use and away from eff. With the innoculations, it makes sense to put more experimental points into potency for everyone, which will also decrease CM use, often below 75. On potency maxed meds the difference in the damage per tick between MCM and CM is about 12%. It used to be more like 30%.
3) I havent tested this, but I THINK that havla lets anyone throw at the spped cap (MCM or non-MCM), thus negating the importance of the speed line - unless you want mind heals and the wounds that accompany it.
