TKM/CM 4004 with points left over for FS skills if you want them.
you will find TKM to be the most balanced (therefor the most versitile) of the melee professions.
Not quite so much damage as Swordsman, but better defenses and speed.
Not quite so good in the defense area as Fencer, but better damage out put.
the ability to apply states (intimidate, dizzy, stun, blind) is invaluable in both PvE and PvP.
unarmed toughness means (with a set of doc buffs) you can fight 90% of the mobs in game with no armor at all (saving you quite a bit of money). i almost NEVER wear armor. it is funny to see me standing in the middle of 30 full-composite characters at the village just wearing sturdy boots, thin striped pants and a muscle shirt. i run enraged rancor missions unarmored all the time.
then of course there is the meditate line. if i ever go insane and drop TKM, i will NEVER drop the meditate line. Powerboost - which is a mini-buff, Force of Will - which has a chance of letting you get up from being incapacitated right away (the SHOCK of an opponent when you stand up RIGHT after they incap you ALONE is reason to take the meditate line in TKA) and you will be able to meditate off your poisons, diseases and wounds.
CM adds the DoTs that TKM needs to be the 'perfect' profession in my veiw.
why am i NOT a TKM/CM 4004 you ask? i was! for a good while i played that template. in order to finish my FS quests i took up Rifleman, but the MOMENT i finish, i am going back to CM.

I currently have a mcm/ master pistoleer. Pistols has been fun, but lets face it they don't really deal too much damage at all. I was thinking about mastering a melee profession because I've already dabbled in the ranged profession. I understand that this makes it impossiblefor me to be mcm so I would atleast keep cm 0004. I was hoping that any cm/melee professions out there could tell me their pros and cons of thier template.

Thanks for your input i was thinking about doing tkm with mcm just as you have done. I think thats the route i'm gonna take. Swords was just so tempting because of the damage output, but with poor defenses who knows if i'll have time to fling poisons and run up for close combat in pvp. Yes tkm that sounds good! It seems like any melee cm's that i've seen are tkm's.
Just curious if there are any sword/cm's or fencer/ cm's out there.

Im a master swordsman and cm 4404, i have 4 points left over that im going to add to FS melee speed. I know the phase passed but I'll do the missions to get the quest items. Its pretty good cause what I do is get some really nice mind poison's and beat the snot out of them with head hits all on mind. Pretty decent.

Im fencer 4430/ mCM / novice doc. In pve I mostly cant kill anything but in pvp I can panic a lot of ppl. Without master CM u cant use area poisons. Pvp is not 1v1 thing. Yes tkm is better vs melee, he has mindhit and toughness. But vs a good rm who is 65m away hs3 u will be dead soon. I have capped dodge and dodge is that helps me a bit vs ranged. fencer has better defences and with novice doc u can remove dizzy from you. Area heals and poisons are great. If u r in a group and u fight vs a group, try to get their support(master doc) chars and area poison stack em to death. And my template vs Jedi is excellent. Remove dizzy helps a lot at any time. If u r focused to 1v1 tumble to 4004 CM/tka. If u r focused to heal your group and area poison them with nice mind poisons(my area C+B are 1500+) then take master CM.

this is not accurate.
i have two MCM on Bloodfin who make me some EXCELENT 75cmu area C poisions, area B poisions, single C poisions and single B poisons that stack for some impressive damage.
you just have to find the right MCM.

The 1500 was for poisons.
As for the other thing that got mentioned, u cant use "powerfull area poisons", to correct myself.... I was saying that due to lack of cm med use and area Cs

You said your area C + B were 1500 combined... can you explain that a bit further please?
