Combat Medic Archive

Hi,
I was an almost all brawler character, now I am: master brawler/ TKM/ heavy sword master/ medic 4-3-0-2. My medic level is that high because my holo told me CM... a month ago and I have slowly moved in that direction. One thing I did was master teras before dropping it. But now that I have that in addition to heavy sword I love the combo. But I realise I can only have one. Any suggestions? I am really looking for folks that are teras/CMor sword/CM. what did you do with the points? we don't have enough to master all 3?
did you leave some CM skills out so you could master teras or heavy sword? thx in advance!

I don't suggest brawler at all. But that is up to you. You still have to get ranged spec 4 on the marksmen tree too to get novice CM. So most CMs are in the marksmen tree to best use the skills gained from ranged spec 4. You will see mostly pistol specs or pistoleers for MCMs because that is the fastest weapon. Speed is key as a CM. Also CMs usually are busy poisoning and healing so they don't have time to tank as brawler. So you will see very few brawler CMs butI have seen a few.

I am a Teras Kasi Master who is working up the CM tree. You cannot master both at once, unfortunately, so you will have to drop 1 column of TKA to gain CM. At master CM, I will be 4-1-4-3 TKA.

randym127 is correct when he says by going melee we're "wasting" the ranged support line of marksman. It's a bummer. But with Meditation 4, we can heal mind freely with no care for the wounds it creates... just meditate them off. If you find you really like CM, then after getting combat medic you may want to migrate to Teras Kasi Master/ CM 4-4-0-4 (no crafting tree). This will mainly drop your Med Use to +75, but you can work with CM crafters to make some supplies where usage level is experimented down if needed.

The bottom line is, you are a "holocron CM". Keep your Teras Kasi or Sword. CM will be temporary for you, so don't go changing your combat profession to ranged just to take advantage of ranged support. It's a waste of your time. You are fine as you are.

Mind can't be healed 'freely', you may be able to get rid of the wounds, but the BF is going to remain. It's easy healing mind to rack up some severe BF.

Thx guys for the replies! I may play CM out for a minute, I have a ton of bile and wanna see how good that makes disease! I intend to use suppression fire as a 65m posture change in solo PVP. This will allow me to get close to warcry, and continue to work on that HAM! I prolly have to spam it untill I am in closer range, but in th 25m range it should work wonders if it sticks. We'll see! thx for all the help!
