Thread: A newb CM needs some help.
I'm completely new to the CM game. I have done doc and understood the competitiveness and stat effects, but CM baffles me. I am most interested in whether I can be a good CM at 4404 because I can keep fencer (my favourite profession ever). I went CM because the idea of being a useful member of the PVP community made me giddy, i'm not here to be uber, i’m here to look cool and run around in circles. Any information on AOE poisons and there CM medicine use level would be most useful. They only AOE ones I have seen were only useable at master because of there Medicine use cost. I would also like to know any strategies in PVP. And how do you stack poisons? Thanks a lot!

I would recommend taking a look at the FAQ, as there is lots of useful information to get started. In short though, a 4404 combat medic is a very viable template. Not including area poison C's, you will be about 87.5% as effective as a master combat medic (your poisons will throw for 87% as far and tick for 87% less damage, etc). The only real exception is area poison C's and area disease C's, where you willdo 50% less damage. You can expect to do around 525 damage per tick for individual poisons C's, and 225 for area poison C's. I believe that Pahdbacca also has a post giving more detailed numbers (which will likely be reposted here) that really ought to be added to the FAQ.
As for why you don't see 75 med use area C poisons and diseases is there is a fairly limited market for them. If you contact a master combat medic though, I'm sure you will be able to trace down a supply of them without too much difficulty. Or at worst you can become a 4044 combat medic and make your own area poison B's (which are only a hair weaker than a crafter area poison C).
As for poison stacking, there is no trick to it. If you toss two poisons (one at a time) which stack, they will stack on the target. More information about what stacks with what is also in the FAQ.
