I was thinking about this idea, and first thought it was good, then thought it was bad upon further consideration,then thought it had potential...
Currently we have medical droids which can use stim A's. All together less than useful. Why don't we improve the droids such that if a novice doctor owns it, it can use poison cure A's. This might help alleviate the complaints about doctors not being able to keep up with area poisons, as the droid would allow party members to better heal themselves without a single doctor being responsible for a party of 20... And as the droid would be restricted to cure A's, and have no skill modifiers, and has a 10 second reset time (as I understand it), it would likely not be overpowering.
Taking it one step further, you might give droids state cures as well. Not fire blankets (which you need some skill to use), but all the basic states seem viable (as a novice doctor can cure all the states). Just load a few packs into the droid, and somebody can call the droid to heal them. In particular, this mightalleviate dizzy-KD from being the overpowering combination that it currently is, as a KD'd player could use the droid and just pop back up without too much difficulty.
If need be, there might be a new module, a "curing module", introduced if integrating cures with the current medical module is too difficult.
I changed my mind on this idea as in a PvP combat, where poisons and dizzy-KD are most dangerous, a droid will have a very low life expectancy which limits its usefulness. I then realized there might be PvE benefits to this.
I haven't completely thought through the implications, and the doctors will undoubtably have something to say. (This is arguably a nerf, and arguably an empowerment.) However, I though I would mention it and see what everybody thought.

Interesting thought. I'm assuming that you couldn't choose what your droid will dispense (just like the trap throwing droids - they throw whatever you load in them based on ordering of loading - you can't choose which trap at throw time). This would mean that a group would need multiple droids to handle multiple needs (a disease curing droid, a poison curing droid, etc).
For what it's worth, the timer on the med droid can be reduced below 10 seconds (it's based on experimentation and number of modules put in). My understanding is that it is possible to get a droid with 6 of these modules in it that can dispense once every 1 or 2 seconds.
I thinkcure Asmight betoo powerful to be used in this way. Stim As are much weaker than Stim Bs. Cure As can actually be reasonably good.
I think you're right that these wouldn't survive long in PvP. But theymight effectively counter the solo combat medic suicide bomber.
