Hey guys,

I've started working up the CM chain, recently, and I'd like to know how you guys feel about the effectiveness of a CM is in PvE / PvP after the recent changes.

I'm considering the generic CM / Rifleman template. I was considering BH 3-0-0-0 and CM 4-4-0-4 to go after jedi, but I'm not confident thata CM alone is sufficient to

take one down, after reading some of the threads out there.

Let me know what you think - is a CM still effective in PvE and PvP, specifically with respect to their offensive capabilities?

Could you solo a krayt? A quenker? A jedi? How about general PvP interact?

Thanks

BH 3-0-0-0 and CM 4-4-0-4 leave you with almost no deffences. Poisons by themselves are not enough to kill a jedi.

A CMs pve offencive capabilities are very poor. While most classes can hit 1k damage a second, its highly unlikly a cm can do 1k in even 10 seconds. In pve CMs are very effective against mobs with high resists like krayts, night sister elders, and the death watch. CMs might be able to solo a quenker, a krayt is instant death unless someone else is tanking.

In PvP a 1v1 fight is an almost certin loss. The strength of a cm is multiplyed in group pvp. Heals are near usless due to the fact 90% of all pvp deaths are from the mind. The way CMs are effective against high resist pve mobs is the same to pvp enemies in high resist armor.

You can solo a krayt or a quenker with a CM character. You toss poisons and diseases and hop on your swoop and fly around until they die. A Krayt can take 45 minutes or so, but if yo uhave patience, and nobody else comes along, you can have the loot.

Quenkers take less time, as they only have 7500 HAMs...but still take several minutes.

If you can stack a poison and a disease on a Jedi, you can kill him. If he can heal either of those, you will not be able to kill him. If he can ForceRun and kill you (in 1-2 hits) before you can get the second toss off...then you can kill him. Basically...you can kill any low-level Jedi with this template...but you could kill the same Jedi with a BH/TKA template, and probably easier...by just nonchalantly walking up and Dizzy/KDing him.

CM is not worth it except against NS Elders, Krayt Dragons, or large-scale PvP events. Otherwise, it's not worth the skillpoints invested.

CM folks are force multipliers, so we work best within a group. We amplify other folks' HAM through heals &attacks by DoT attacking the targeted enemy HAM bar. We rarely get the DB/Kill because our DPS is low.A CM, alone, isnt the most efficient killer. Rifle/TK is much better DPS choice.
