Finally I've decided to take up a crafting profession. Hehe more or less. I'll continue as Carbineer, but I'm moving from Ranger to Combat Medic. One of my guild mates recently dropped CM for Doctor and he doesn't have great things to say about being a CM which he followed since launch I believe. I however hope that CM will once again come into it's own after the mythicalcombat balan... er, revamp. Fortunately for me I have a guild that I've been supplying creature resources to for a long time, and will have their help in getting resources and using factories. I hope that I won't end up having to survey for my own resources. I've heard good and bad things here, and hope that my experience taking up CM will take some of you back to your experiences learning it. And would be very pleased if my interest in the profession rubbed back off on some of you, who may be in a funk after the recent changes, back to enjoying CM for what it should be. For me... I don't know what that is, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

well i've decided to take it up also, sense by looking at it, it is the closest thing to a spell caster in SWG. Not for pvp though sense i hear it has some issues in that dept.

Your kidding right? CM "pwns" in pvp, as long as they arent a doc. When you mind poison them they are down in 20 seconds. Im 3/2/3/0 medic but as soon as I master Im taking up cm.

Heard about the new resists yet? Sometimes they work, and sometimes they dont. There's nothing worse than seeing a dozen resist message scrolling through your view.....

Made Novice CM the other night... And threw a stim! 15 meters!! Woot!! I asked around and I do expect to master CM before I try out some doctor levels. I may grab Novice doc for state healing while I climb CM, but I'll drop it at the end. Another 5 meters and I can cover the cantina from one spot practically! hehe. The problem is I got used to using doctor stim B's and now I'm spoiled. Bleh. Throwing 200 heals isn't as good as running 10 meters and sticking a 700 heal. I have a friend who's 0444 CM who's going to make me a low level area A that I can use... Probably as a teaser.
Question from newbie CM. Anyone ever try playing CM without poisons or diseases?

Still having fun learning CM, I'mat 1111, approaching 1122.
So I'm practicing crafting tonight, and making some Ranged A's that I can use that are pretty good, in the 210 healing level I think I got on the last one. And some Ranged B's that I can't use and are crappier than the A's I was making, best one into the 170's. I was expiramenting on ease of use so I could use them. But I got to wondering what kind ofeffectiveness do people get when they craft the top of the line E's? I asked the few CM's in my town and none of them knew. The most experienced guy said he never used them because the resource cost was expensive. So, what kind of effectiveness can I expect from the Ranged E's and also the Area C's?
